calzaghe and bute come to mind. but they would always get compared to a slicker fighter which would be a black fighter. but slick is style i dont know why everyone wants to be slick now boxer - puncher brawler fast swamer power there are alot of styles to like. slick is that pretty ****, hit and dont get it. but often lacks the power.you look good but you have to work for the ko.
Off topic, but I never saw this particular pic of Haye before. It is against the rules of all 3 major sanctioning bodies, to dip your head below your opponents waste. Technically, it's cause for a point deduction or even a disqualification. So unless their is a "David & Goliath" clause, Sugar V won that fight!
If you want a serious answer I remember it starting to come up alot where I hadn't noticed it before about 3 years ago when Nate Campbell, who'd just won some lightweight titles off Juan Diaz, was trying to get an earner against Manny Pacquaio. He went on boxing radio shows saying he was only fighting Mexicans because he was scared of black fighters, and couldn't handle slickness (I never thought Nate Campbell was particularily slick and Robbie Peden agrees with me there). It was a really cheap way to try to get a big payoff before someone knocked him off for modest money, which quickly happened when he didn't make weight hsi next fight, quit against Tim Bradley but got it overturned, putting him completely out of the running for a superfight, then lost 3 fights in a row. But anti Pac (Mostly Mayweather) fans lept on this and used it as proof that he was the one ducking the fight with Mayweather, and it's been all over the forum since, though alot of people use it sarcastically.
Yeah - this is how I remember it too. Now it's been ridiculed to the point of being completely meaningless, which is the best way to deal with these things
