It makes no sense anymore, Golden Boy has a good stable of fighters but none of which deserve a big time shot at Mayweather ... And the same goes for Manny Pacquiao and TopRank ... they both have went through the most note worthy opponents in their respected promotional companies.

It was laughable for Mayweather to face Ortiz ... but now the names Guererro and Alvarez have been thrown out there, those guys are up and comers and should be fighting other guys in their position. Tim Bradley is good but he doesn't deserve a shot at Pacquiao, he can't even sell tix in a highschool gym in his own hometown. I think this is ridiculous and somewhat of a show put on by both companies. Pac already beat Cotto (badly), Lamont Peterson is a f**** joke if they match him up with an elite fighter, and Pac beat Marquez twice ... no matter how close the fights were it's time to move on.

Either Floyd fights Cotto, Martinez, or Pacquiao
Pacquiao has run out of quality opponents ... either Floyd or stay on the shelf till he's available.

Is that why TR signed Bradley and Peterson within a year?

    Don't be fooled.

Peterson is not a ****ing joke, he's a great fighter and stands a good chance against Bradley in a rematch. That being said I agree with the rest.

Me neither, but Pacquiao has raked in an average of over 1m ppv # in his last three or four fights (I may be wrong, but its close to it). So, you, I and the hardcore fan won't be applying for these types of fights, but the average joe will, and thus.. Arum will put them fights on.

    Martinez and bradley.

Bradley is not a bad opponent at all for pac if the fight was at 140... bradleys box office draw has **** all to do with him being a quality opponent or not.

Martinez is still there for mayweather, and bradley for pac. These two wont fight eachother so those two fights would be decent substitutes...... sorta, lol. At least martinez would be as good a fight as the pac on just about.

Lamont Peterson hasn't beat anyone top level but Khan and that was a suspect win ... he hasn't beat anyone before that. He's boring to watch !! ... Pac would pick him apart and knock him out or win a boring blowout decision.
Bradley has a good chance because he's a very good boxer and a winner ... but Pac is a box office draw and it would be hard to sell the fight.

I'd rather see Cotto vs Mayweather than Canelo or Guererro

Bradley stands about as much chance as Peterson imo, which is to say about 30%

I like Peterson, he's a very tough lad.. I don't think Pacquiao would stop him early or mid, if he stops him its later on in the fight, in a HARD fight.

But, with that said.. your thoughts are exactly why a Peterson vs. Pacquiao fight could happen, because Bob Arum probably believes it ASWELL! And hes all about money, and an easy blowout fight for Manny against a fighter whos hot in the media is always a ROI for Arum.

Ortiz dropped Peterson twice but got outboxed ... Pac is a superior boxer than both and would destroy Peterson inside 7 rounds ... in a less than entertaining fight. Peterson would look to survive after 4 rounds and get murdered until the ref stops the fight or he gives up. He got his heart taken away by Bradley who isn't as fast or as strong as Pacquiao.

Listen to that new weeknd album echoes of silence .. great album !! ... house of balloons is the best one though.

Peterson is boring to watch that's why he gets featured as the opponent unless he's on ESPN !!

Exposed by one of the best fighters of his generation? Yeah. A wild offensive fighter exposed by a top class counter puncher. Nice one.

    Your boxing knowledge is impeccable.
