Bonner is an ok fight...If he can stop him, he's already got 1 up on Jones.

Bonnar is a name and back on the winning track but I was hoping he would be getting a top 10 guy. The experience won't hurt him and Bonnar can still bring it, if he can't beat Bonnar......well that ship will set to sail.

You can't call Gustafsson the best in the LHW division. He hasn't shown it.

In the last year, Gustafsson has racked up decent/good wins over Te Huna, Hamill and Matyushenko.

In the same time period, Jones has destroyed an undefeated, confident top prospect in Bader, utterly obliterated two legends in Shogun and Rampage, and stopped a Machida who fought extremely well. Machida was the only fight that was remotely competitive, and that was only for a single round.

You can say that you personally figure Gustafsson to beat Jones. But you can't say that Gustafsson is the best fighter in the division, because he hasn't shown it. He hasn't got the resume. Jones beat a far higher class of opponent every bit as easily as Gustafsson handled Te Huna and co. Maybe MORE easily. That's why he's The Man To Beat in the division, and Gustafsson is a heavy underdog against him as of now, and he will still be an underdog when they meet in the cage. And rightly so.

Dont know why everyone gives Jones so much credit for having a win over Bader as his best win is over Lil Nog and lets face it Lil Nog is past it.
He got good wrestling credentials and all but still he was undefeated because of the opponents he fought.
Vinny Magalhães **** poor stand up and was new in the sport all he had going for him was BJJ.
Keith Jardine well everyone knows about him.

Bader has a very good wrestling pedigree, was undefeated, was fighting very well and was very confident. Jones probably faced the best version of Bader, because post-Jones beatdown he hasn't looked like the same guy. A savage beatdown like that when on the verge of a title shot can do bad things to an undefeated fighter's psyche.

Remember that Jones-Bader was regarded as a 50/50 fight going in. Bader was regarded as a real step up in class for Jones, and pretty much everybody was expecting a hard-fought, competitive fight.

Instead Bader found out that he was completely outmatched. But that doesn't take away from the fact that the Bader of the Jones fight is a tougher opponent than anyone on Gustafsson's record.

Yep after that fight I knew Jones was the real deal, He made bader look like he hadn't been in a fight before and showed how dominate his wrestling can be. That's the thing with Jones he has good standup but if the standup game isn't going his way he can take you down and submit you or put elbows through your face.

Bonnar fight has some potential. He is big, strong and can sometimes try flashy strikes. A real poor mans Jones maybe. good match up or Gustaffasons development and to show that Bonnar is matched well to be kept in the UFC.

Im not saying gustafsson can beat jones now, im saying he can beat anyone else in the division now. Give him 3 more fights and he will beat jones.
