Cotto vs Mayweather is still a legit big fight. Guerrero means nothing, he couldn't put away old ass Casamayor but he's gonna be competitive against Floyd? I'd much rather see Morales in there, at least he deserves the payday, in fact i'd probably pick Morales to beat Guerrero who couldn't handle the pressure from Yordan at 130.

    Young, hungry lion....in 3,2,1...

    Better opponents for Floyd.

    Cotto
    Berto/Ortiz II winner
    Brook
    Peterson
    Jones
    Khan
    Maidana/Alexander winner
    Matthysse
    Morales

That is not including any Top Rank fighters, JMW (Cotto could go down) or MW

Also, for all the talk of in-house Top Rank fights it looks the same on the other side.

Lol...bro feed him to Floyd, he has no chance, I'll be happy to sit back and watch it unfold...then watch "smart guys" like you come back afterward and say how "shot" he was, etc etc. My point has been and remains simple "I" would rather see Guerrero get the opportunity, than Cotto, because "I" consider myself a fan of Robert.

Admittedly, I'm guilty in getting drawn in to the back-and-forth flaming. But threads like these go a long way in determining the difference between real Floyd fans (ones you can have a fairly civilized debate), Floydettes (mildly enterataining hardliners), and than yor *****s (belligerent dickriding ride-till-they die morons).

What does that say about you, since you find the need to concentrate on something like that in a boxing forum? :think

Not gonna lie. I've stooped down to the name-calling, but that's usually because I get dragged down to that level. You reap what you sow and when certain people blows up your post with no intention but to inflame and start **** then sometimes I just can't help myself....it's on. I mean weren't you the one who called me an idiot when I brought up if Floyd really wants Pac on May 5th than he should call out Pac when they make their announcement? Predictably, you quoted me and instead of talking up the validity of that notion you summarily dismissed it and called me a *******. Yeeeaaahh...great argument. What was that you said; they already done it so its stupid?

Well, seeing as you blatantly simplify my argument to add merit to yours, you're already making a great case for yourself.

And really I never used to regularly post here so for someone like me this thread is a useful way to determine who not to waste your time with. I mean would you waste your time going tit for tat for the ******* version of Bald Head ****?

Yeah, if I remember correctly there was some detail there about press conferences only being for announcing fights already lined up. Forgive me if I disagree.

And let's be real here, I called you an idiot, because you hold no other boxer to that standard, much less your role model Pacquiao.

Multiple videos of Mayweather calling out Pacquiao "personally", major articles on ESPN.com and other news and every major boxing site, discussion of the May 5th call out day on the ESPN network, I mean, when you see all that, then you have some Pacbuddy saying, "well, well... why can't he throw a huge presser just to call out Pacquiao again", it is, for lack of a better term, idiotic.

Man not this **** again. None of the 'forementioned takes anything away from the logic of calling him out in public again and further pressuring the Pac camp into making the fight. I mean look whats happening now simply from Pac going on record and saying he wants Floyd next. It's the PR war, you don't think the Floyd camp isn't feeling the pressure of making that fight now? Just look at this thread...everyone's laughing off this Guerrero matchup or any matchup for that matter when pac is saying he wants him next. Same concept dip****! (see, what I mean...you're dragging me down to your level)

Dragging you to my level, I'm quite calm, you're the one who apparently "loses it" or whatever you do behind your computer screen. Grow up.

Your problem is that your argument is flawed from the start. Mayweather did all of that, yet Pacquiao has done none of it. Wlad calling out Haye on a youtube video was good enough for Wlad, but not for Floyd. You see the pattern? You just have an incredible bias, simple.

My argument is simple. It WOULDN'T HURT now would it? You choose to see a flaw. Me having a Pac-bias is irrelevant, the argument wasn't about him. It's about Floyd and his intent. In the spirit of keeping it simple, let's boil it down to this bare-bones yes or no question

--->If Floyd is genuinely and sincerely keen on fighting Pac this May 5th, would it hurt to call him out on their upcoming big announcement?

*If you answered no, sure it wouldn't hurt. Public pressure is a powerful thing, than we are in agreement.
*If you answered yes and go off on some tangent that has nothing to do with the argument....than yeah whatever. Let's just move on.

    No, it wouldn't hurt.

That being said, I don't expect Floyd to do more than any other boxer has in recent history. That's my opinion.
