Lets call a spade a spade shall we. SBW is fighting a BUM. So what if the guy has 40 odd fights he has lost to everyone who he fought who has a pulse. Lets not try and dress it up to be anything more than it is. SBW will never fight anyone above BUM level in his career. He is a lesser version of another guy who lived off soft opposition in Solomon Haumono.

Sorry if the truth hurts anyone. Wipe your tears with a tissue.

SBW is only a part time boxer though.
Who should he fight, Alex, Kali?

I think he's doing alright for the amount of commitment he's putting into it (not a lot).

It would be different if he was a full time boxer, but then he'd also be better than he is today.

tell me about it m8, i seen and still have footage of Haumono sparring a few weeks ago, what shocked me more was to see WHO he was sparring, he sparred a bloke i used to bash around and spar ONLY for strength, the bloke is around 85kg, in his 40s and is by no means a HW.

would u girls like to see the footage? it was taken in Wodonga.

I agree Sox but when all of the guys fights are on PPV and moron ******s like Tony Mundine say he is the next Ali then some criticism is warranted imo. It will be the same when Barry Hall stars fighting soon i'm afraid.

Sexyboxing roadshowwe shall see where that will be in 12 months most probably inactive due to running out of options to beat up on no bodies or he looses badly to a mediocre fighter. Then his Monet swilling fan base will shut the **** up!

I'm not questioning that part of it.
He certainly shouldn't be on PPV, that's just ridiculous.
And comments from Tony Mundine, that's just boxing bull****. I'm not sure why anyone would take that seriously and get upset about it.

What I was questioning is why he is copping a shlacking for fighting cans, when it's only his 4th fight and he is a part time boxer.

I'm more pissed with the PPV because that's the reason I'll miss the fight. I like him and and I reckon he could do very well if he was committed and focused.

Sonny Bill will fold like a deck of cards the 1st time he gets hit real by a live opponent.

This rort of deMori only fighting opponents with at least 2 stoppage losses from their previous 3 fights has been going on for 5 or 6 years now, and extends to 8 of his last 9 fights. So it's fairly logical the same guy has been doing the matchmaking, and probably makes a lot of sense if it's been deMori himself doing it :good

It will be a significant achievement for Sonny Bill should he win the NZ title over Tutaki, despite Tutaki's record and inactivity over the past few years.

What needs to be established is Sonny Bill worthy of fighting for a NZ heavyweight title, given his four fight experience and quality of opposition.

It's something like a WBF title fight where two fighters ranked around 100 fight for a 'world title'.

Are these two guys fighting for the title, worthy of fighting for the 'NZ Heavyweight Title?'

Also the fact he is a 'part time boxer' might enhance his reputation as an 'athlete' but doesn't do much for him as a 'boxer', well not based on his previous fights.

Probably not, but who's to blame for that, the fighters or the Orgs?
    Why wouldn't it?
Sure he's not top shelf, or even mid shelf, but why would anyone expect more if he's a part time boxer?
What do you expect from him considering his small commitment to boxing at this stage?
