Bute by UD, don't understand how people think he will KO Froch. He wasn't close to KOing Johnson, he isn't gonna KO Froch either.

It was part of the deal that Ward should have homefield throughout the tournament. Had it only been one fight then of course it would have made more economical sense in Denmark.

For me look like it was Showtime desire to have as many fights as they could in primetime meaning in US. It's not like the tv was reciving Gate revenue money or Danish PPV is it? Or am I wrong ?

Not at all , he's still a quality fighter and although I reckon Bute will take him it wont be a walkover.

I not one of the esb numpties how cant tell the difference between slightly past his best and shot to **** :D

and of course you are correct to say he can't have slipped since Ward , although I will say this , Froch is a fighter who relied on confidence and self belief and after being so comprehensively handled by Ward that may be a factor.

Should still be a great fight tho and a win will certianly put Ward in a tricky position if he wants to try and avoid Bute.

Also Johnson has one of most durable chins in boxing. In 68 fights never been KO'ed despite the big nr of defeats, and only once been KD by what looked like a hit with the elbow, and he fought many impressive names. Johnson was as hard as Andrade to Knock-Out. More than that Bute can only hurt you with the right, never Knock you out with it, his power hand(the left) was injured.

You have to be honest though....agreed that Froch did better but go watch the fight again, Bute was fighting with "pillows" in his hands....tender left hand from the fight before. He couldn't knock anyone with gloves like that...

Froch obviously cashing in when he agrees the fight is in Montreal. His career is done and the England fight will be his retirement fund.
I think he is shot mentally now.

I read this news and I'm very happy for Bute. Froch is a top level fighter with the best resume from smw div. I think Bute will win by UD , fair&square. I don't belive that it will be a T.K.O/K.O by Bute, because Froch is a strong-tough guy.

Also I read that in the contract is a clause which stipulates that if one of them will win by K.O/T.K.O or by a U.D decision , the second fight might not take place.

What leads you to beleive something like this would happen.....the closest anything like this has happened was against Andrade who had more power than Froch, and arguably a stronger chin.
However, there was no ref needed to revive him since Bute was up at 6.36 seconds on a stop watch in real time(3+ seconds after the bell had rung), 7 seconds on the dvr, 8/9 seconds by fast count.

All of which were well past the end of the fight.:rofl

Once he's on his feet, the nonsense the ref did at 21 seconds after having been back and forth to Andrades corner, is useless. He could have let Bute stumble around on ***** street as if he were hurt and not exhausted and it is still a MUTE point.

What part about getting a KO win don't HATERZ INC understand.:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

The second might not take place.....I agree with that, but the money will still be guaranteed for the challenger, at least a substantial portion of it.

We all know Froch is cashing out for around 7-10 mil for these two bouts, a hefty sum, but achievable, esp in the named cities with the named promoters.
Bute will likely KO Froch in Canada and then pay Froch stepaside, retirement money. soas he can outbid Ward for the Kessler/Steiglitz fight.:deal
