I just have to laugh at some of the ignorance in this thread, especially in regards to Wlad's chances against Joe Frazier. All you people saying that Wlad would dominate or KO a Frazier, have you seen any Frazier fights besides him vs George Foreman or the Thrilla? Do you have even the slightest idea how fast, how tough, how hard Frazier hit? Have you seen the way he used to duck around punches while he was coming in? Here's him knocking in George Chuvalo's face in just over 3 rounds. The unknockoutable Chuvalo had the orbit bone smashed and to this day is face is held together by the reconstructive surgery done on him afterward. Watch as Frazier dodges most of the punches thrown during this demolition. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEJqC7WUUpE[/ame] And that's a young Frazier, in his 17th pro fight, for those Wlad fans who like to argue that Wlad was green in his 42nd fight when Corrie Sanders KO'd him in 2 rounds. What is Wlad going to do, hold onto Frazier for an entire 12 round fight? If not, how are his whiskers going to stand up? But how would a prime Frazier do against a taller boxer, you ask? Glad you did. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP7sZS-DMmY[/ame] Nothing against Wlad, he's a very good boxer in a weak era, but if he had to go through the run in the 60s and 70s, he would have more than 3 losses on his record.
Ali was much faster than Wlad, had a great jab, often held and wrestled with opponents, etc. Frazier still gave him great fights, including beating him once. Thanks for giving the points a fair consideration though. :good
In that case Wlad would turn him into ****ing Floyd Maywaether with a couple of those right crosses. I think we can take Foreman off the list of guys that could beat Wladdy boy.
Wlad would most likely have hard to land at a guy with suck good movement. And when Wlad cant land he gets nervous. Though I have to say those two guys he fought resembled flat footed zombies. It would not be so easy to move in on Wlad, and also Wlad "The octopus" has better grappling skill then any of those two.
Fans always post only the best attributes of past greats to compare with the Klitschkos. Yes Ali was faster than Wladimir. But Wlad hits a hell of lot harder than Ali ever could. How good did Frazier look against big punchers?yep
And you really think Wladimir would let Frazier right up chest to chest with him "phone booth" fighting, like Chuvalo did? Absolutely not. George Chuvalo was 6'0, and weighed 217lbs in that fight. Frazier is 5'11 1/2, and weighed 204 in that fight. Yes, Ali was a taller fighter, but still not nearly as tall or big as Wladimir. This content is protected Height alone is nothing without skill (look at Fields, Long, etc..). Wladimir has the skill, and he's 6'6, 245.
Wladimir has implemented a lot of weight training, and heavy weight training, and if you'd ask Chef about how many calories he is at per day, you'd be surprised how much more it'd be than someone like Ali was in his day.
This is your proof are you kidding??? do you see Ali is bent down a little plus he is ****ing old here and not his full height, were you ever around old people, you dont keep your height from young age until you are dead... We all know Ali was shorter but showing picture of one fighter in physical prime next to fighter old and ill showes nothing!!
1. Anyone can find their listed heights. 2. Yes, old people lose height, everyone knows that. But we are talking an inch at the most, Ali didn't lose several inches. 3. If you don't like the pic I posted then FIND ANOTHER ONE of them together that's better. Go for it.
Now, somewhere about Ali's shirt collar would be the top of Frazier's head! Plus Frazier fought very low so he would be eye level with Wladimir's belly button. Somkin' Joe would be eating jock strap all night.:deal
