I just read that a proposed deal between Carl Froch (super six runner up) and Lucian Bute (IBF super middleweight champion) is being negotiated for a two fight home - home deal. In which both would have a chance at each other on each fighters home turf. I like this idea and if its like I think it would be ... this can be the makings for a good trilogy.

The super middleweight division is hot (Thanks to Joe Calzaghe) and now there are plenty of potentially good fights on the horizon. There's still the showdown between Steiglitz and Kessler (for the WBO strap) as well.

    Thoughts on Bute vs Froch????

There's already 2 other threads about it. But hey, fine.

I think it's the best fight to make beside Bute-Ward.

    Ideal scenario to me;

    1. Bute-Froch (Montreal), Kessler-Stieglitz (Copenhagen), Ward- Ant. Dirrell (Oakland)

2A (Bute UD in Montreal). Bute-Froch II (Nottingham), Ward-Kessler (Copenhagen)
2B (Bute KO/TKO in Montreal). Bute-Kessler (Montreal/Copenhagen), Ward- And. Dirrell (San Jose)

    3. Bute-Ward (NYC - MSG), Froch-Kessler II (Nottingham)

Why do you have this ridiculous notion of Bute TKOing Froch, let alone beating him? I'd imagine Froch would be a betting favorite in that fight if it takes place anywhere but Canada/Romania.

Stop guzzling on his balls so damn much and make sense you wee puff, and perhaps people would take notice to your posts for once.

Agreed ... I think Froch is the second best super middleweight and that he knocks out Bute.

Why does posting 'Bute KO/TKO Froch' offend you so much? Why is it so far fetched to you? :?

    Getting all riled up...

You're too hung up on the absolution given to resumes... thinking Bute has the goods to stop Froch is impossible, he's never beaten guys remotely as good as Froch (!!). Only this time, Bute shutting Froch out will prove resumes don't fight. Froch has achieved a lot, however Bute style wise can very well prove to be too much for him. You're not one to have tunnel vision and bring up R12 of the first Andrade fight, right? Froch, at the world level, is tailor made for Bute. Ward is definitely not, and has good chances of outpointing Bute in a wide UD if they ever meet.

If given the opportunity, yes. Andre would be the tougher fight of the two for sure, but very winnable for Ward.

Bute doesn't want any part of ward b/c he is garbage. Shouldn't a rematch naturally fall in place rather than booked a head of time. To me, this move proves that Bute and his handlers have no intention of fighting Ward anytime soon. What if Bute and Froch is a terrible fight or simply 1 sided for either fighter, would you want to see it again? This is bull**** and the public knows it. The only fans that can't see through the bull**** are the quebecois. LOl!!!!

Bute has yet another fight at home and there's no guarantee(yet) that Bute will come to the UK for the 2nd fight. You couldn't make it up, you really couldn't

They should just have a one off fight in AC or somewhere in northern Europe.Froch is at a very advanced state in his career to commit to two very taxing fights. He should be taking it one fight at a time. And in a one-off Froch by close decision.
There has been no evidence to suggest Bute can stop or KO Froch.Bute on points is a very reasonable prediction, even if they say wide, but all this KO stuff is pathetic.

BUTE DESERVES TO BE HOME. He has a belt, remember ? He`s the champion.Froch , despite the resume is the recent loser.
