117-111 Sweet Pea, neither are incredible here but Sweet Pea did the far better work throughout. Horrific decision.

Nah i watched it a while back, posted a thread nothing like this :good.

I think many will go with Sweet Pea.

These were my thoughts on the bout...

I personally felt Sweet Pea won, IIRC i had it 116-112 maybe a bit wider.

ok scrap that fight, were start with JMM and Chris John, haven't got round to seeing yet but swear i've read the points deductions were harsh plus was in John's home town and sure could of been favoured here

I watched it like 2 years ago, can't remember my score but I was convinced it was a bad robbery. I'm tempted to watch it again.

Two things, Firstly the tv company thought JMM was from Argentina. Secondly where was JMM when they were announcing the verdict I couldn't see him, had he already ****ed off knowing John had got the verdict?

113-113 after deductions, tbf Juan did land a fair few shots on or slightly below the belt line.

Several rounds were close or didnt have much action & you could argue they could be even. I can see how the judges could score the fight to John by a round or 2.

Juan seemed a bit below his best & it was a patchy performance. John had a nice jab & landed a few sneaky right hands.

    Edit: Juan 1,2,5,6,8,9,12 John 3,4,7,10,11

    1. 10-9 Marquez: Close round, thought JMM outlanded John by a couple of punches.
    2. 10-9 Marquez: Clear JMM round, got the better of every exchange.
    3. 10-9 John: CJ scrapes it for me with a couple of nice counters. Could go JMM's way though.
    4. 10-9 Marquez: JMM with the better work, particularly to the body. Good uppercut about halfway through too.
    5. 10-9 Marquez: JMM kind of pwning CJ, who lands **** all clean.
    6. 10-9 Marquez: Very close. Could go either way. John would not do well at all fighting out of his home country with that style.
    7. 10-9 John: CJ's round but barely. Could go to JMM easily
    8. 10-9 Marquez: Clearly for me, landed better shots throughout.
    9. 10-9 Marquez: CJ lands one noticable punch throughout. How the **** did he end up winning this?
    10. 9-9 Even: JMM gets a point deducted but CJ doesn't do enough to win it. Hence even.
    11. 10-8 John: CJ scrapes the round + point deduction
    12. 10-9 JohnL Could go either way.

Juan Manuel Marquez 114-112 Chris 'Maricon' John

Dunno what the judges saw, certainly not the same fight as me. That ref was awful too, either that or John's testicles actually are located on his belly button. I felt Marquez was hard done by, he won pretty much most of the rounds, John didn't do much at all, just tried not to lose or take risks, which I guess in Indonesia works pretty well. Maricon John I'll call him from now. I feel it's a bit of a shafting, John didn't 'win' (as in get the better of Marquez) a round clearly as far as I saw it, and the rounds I did give John could all have easily gone to Marquez.

They fight in America, it's a different story :deal
