He is ready to make a statement against champ Rico Ramos

WBA interim super bantamweight titleholder Guillermo “The Jackal” Rigondeaux is reaching the peak of his training in the Heavyweight Factory GYM in Hollywood, Florida. Monday evening Rigondeaux arrived on time to work with his physical conditioner DJ Montanocordoba and trainer Ismael Salas as they continue preparations to face WBA champion Rico Ramos on January 20th in Las Vegas.
“We are ready to fight with anyone,” said Rigondeaux “The bases are already full and there isn’t anywhere to hide. After I beat Ramos, we have in mind to face the best of the division and we can’t wait [to fight] them.”

In all seriousness though, it will be great to see Rigo back and I expect him to put on an impressive performance which will hopefully put him in line for a fight with Donaire.

If it's too impressive of a performance, Top Rank might choose avoid "El Chacal" and target less risky opposition.

By the way who promotes Rigon?

Top Rank. I don't think Arum will make the fight myself. Donaire is a lot more marketable than Rigo so he won't risk it. Much like the Gamboa/Juanma situation.

I like Rigo . He is a funny dude, unlike the always very serious Gamboa. Not saying its a bad thing for Gambia but Rigo is more of a joker. " Lo último que trajo el barco caballero"

Rigo gets underrated since people say he's still too much of an amateur boxer, but I think he'll prove them wrong come fight night.
