Lehlohonolo Ledwaba - Only 2 weeks notice - Won the IBF Super Bantamweight title.

Chatchai Sasakul - Heavy underdog - Won the Lineal & WBC Flyweight titles.

Marco Antonio Barrera 1 - Heavy underdog, no one gave Pacquiao a chance - Won Lineal & The Ring Featherweight titles.

Oscar De La Hoya - This was suppose to be a mismatch. Pac never fought above Lightweight.

Those were just some wins but is Pacquiao Over rated?

It depends on how you rate him.

If you look at the recent Pac thread rating him ATG-wise (where 3 of the 4 poll options were for him being in the top 20), then there is a lot of people who do overrate him.

But I'm sure there's also many that underrate him.

He's a top 50 ATG, somewhere between 40-50 in my personal opinion.

And to think that is a "bag" on Pac is ridiculous. To be in the top 40/50 of all fighters in history is an AMAZING accomplishment. Truly a great fighter.

And he's still got time left (which may elevate him, or of course, lower him).

Pacquiao was a 5 to 1 underdog vs. Barrera as well.

    leh-who?

    sasa-who?

barrera had to break camp and was dealing with managerial problems for that fight. his manager revealed that he had a plate inserted into his head during an operation and that could have led to barrera not being able to box again. it was right around the same time valero was suspended for the exact same thing. i picked pac to win based on all the distractions barrera was dealing with. good win though.

dlh was fighting at a weight he hadn't been at in 9yrs...and he lost a pound from the weigh to the day of!? what kind of b.s. is that? weight stipulations? who knows? i picked pac to win that based on the fact that dlh agreed to fight at 147. stupid move.

yes...pac is over-rated. his best wins have been against guys who recently came off of beatdowns...had weight issues....or trainer issues. he did what he was supposed to with his diminished foes though...so he deserves credit for that.

Overrated by some, underrated by others.

The consensus is that he's one of the top 2-3 fighters in the world at the moment; a guy with some limitations and difficulty against certain styles, but also a guy with amazing strengths that have propelled him to all-time greatness despite his flaws.

It depends on how people rate him. Apparently alot of people believe he will be top 10 all time LOL. But that comes with the territory of being a media hyped fighter.

Winning fights they weren't supposed to win is highly regarded when it comes to seperating ATGs. Pac is going to rate very high when all is said and done. And he's not all done.

Mayweather is going to regret his call-out. He is going to awaken the sleeping giant.
Pac's been pretty subdued in his performances since Cotto, the last real fight where he had something to prove against the doubters.
Now with everyone writing him off and saying he was always overrated and a skill-less brute, that's all the motivation he needs to get back to the merciless Pacquiao who fought Ledwaba, De La Hoya, Barrera.

Marquez disrespected him with the t-shirt
