I'm not deflecting anything. You can say it's reasonable, and I do agree, but the judge is well within their rights to deny such and action after granting leniency. That's a gamble, no matter how reasonable on the surface it appears, and if you have dealt with courts before, you should know this.

It's best to stay within time frame you've been allowed by the judge, especially when no details of this proposed "temp stadium" have been even figured. Arum has just said "he's looking into it". That's not something I would feel comfortable going to a judge with, but that's just me, you probably disagree.

like what someone posted yesterday, the promoter/investor that it going to make this fight will only start to make money after 100-120mil...very risky.

maximizing gate receipt is a nescessity for somebody to take the risk and make this fight happen.

Arum says he wants to do the fight June 9th. Is that a roadblock considering Mayweather will be in jail on that date? How come Arum said he was willing to have Pac fight Marquez on May 5th in an interview he did on January 5th? All of a sudden, the next day when it's announced Mayweather won't be going to jail until June, Pacquiao can't fight May 5th anymore. All Pacquiao's team has been doing is throwing up roadblocks. From suppposed political commitments, to cuts, to now a damn tempory stadium. These all are reasons Pac's side has thrown out for why the fight can't be made May 5th. This has been going on since Mayweather announced he wanted to fight Pac on that date back in early November.

Thanks for chiming in. For the record I'm all for the fight getting made as soon as possible. May 5th great, if I have to wait a couple more weeks it's not like I'm gonna pout and say **** this I aint watching this **** anymore it's 2 weeks overdue **** Arum Pac and Floyd...they ruined it by not fighting at the MGM.

And really, you don't think there's a problem with the judge do ya? I had a dui once and asked for three continuations lasting a year and a half before getting a hearing.

If Mayweather is serious about fighting Pac, why doesn't he just get ready to go into the pen earlier (so he's out for June 9) or else ask the judge for a slightly longer continuation?

I guess we'll find out how serious Mayweather really is about fighting Pac if he pursues these avenues now that Pac has answered the call out.

However, if we get Mayweather-Guerrero on May 5th...

I don't see why the stadium can't be build on May 5. That is only a few weeks difference. Also there is nothing wrong with the MGM. Holyfield vs Tyson, Mayweather vs De La Hoya, Manny vs Marquez, Manny vs De La Hoya, and Mayweather vs Mosley were all at the MGM. There should be no issues imo.

Just a few a days ago(when it was assumed Mayweather was going to be locked up January 6th), Arum said if Pac fought Marquez, it would be on May 5th. Why is it that once Mayweather was available for that date, Pacquiao all of a sudden wasn't?

The funny part about this and why I know it's bull****, is because Arum was surprised the judge postponed the sentence, even saying "I've never heard of anything like that before" (even though it's done all the time for people to get affairs in order). But since then, in calling out all these dates, he has never mentioned Floyd's impending jail time, he's just calling out dates haphazardly with no regard.

If he really meant having the fight, you would think he would give even a little consideration to the situation. But no, it's a duck move so it is what it is.

Is it because Arum doesn't think he needs to make JMM IV in a 40,000 seat outdoor arena?

We could be talking apples and oranges here. Same date, different event.

Show up in front of a judge and ask for another one. Simple. The way I see it there are no more roadblocks. The fight is getting made. There's too much public pressure now when both sides openly called out each other within the past two days. Why people make a big deal about this may 5th fate is beyond me. Floyd reserved that date , he's not tied down to it. And technically, a late May date is within that JUne 1st timeframe. All this talk that Floyd needs time to heal is BS. What? Is he gonna let a lil asian midget beat him up that bad? Pac throws concerts after a fight with a busted eardrum.
