It's all relative. To me there's nothing irrational about a late May date. What's important is getting the fight made. If it don't make sense to you than by all means, go be done with it.

Yep, even Mayweather's people see the obvious that this fight can't be done by May 5. :rofl

Mayweather’s corner man Nate Jones, a longtime friend since their amateur days dating back to 1994, also feels that May 5th would be pushing the envelope a little too fast for such a huge event.
“There’s a slim possibility it’s going to be Pacquiao,” Jones told me shortly after news of Mayweather’s delay hit. “I don’t think Pacquiao’s going to agree to everything on the table yet. But if he does it’s a possibility. I just think Floyd wants a little bit more time to get ready. We’ll probably need more time. Get everything done with the business and start training for the fight. We’d like a little more space in between. Aint no rush to fight a big fight like that.”

There's no justification for blowing smoke...which means neither side has any real excuse at this time. Back when Bob issued the "ultimatum" months back that place Floyd in the same situation we saw push back from Floyd....Floyd doing the exact same thing aimed at Manny resulted in the same kind of response.

It's a cycle that won't end until BOTH men start negotiating the right way....with both men present and ironing out all the details where both have an equal voice. That's just real talk bro. Neither man's ego will allow for the other side to gain that edge.

    "Temporary stadium?"

    What the **** is this?

I thought Arum said it was a cut that was preventing the ordeal?

Are *******s honestly arguing that Floyd should actually take up the fight just 5 days before going to Jail or while on his 9th day in jail? It's honestly getting ridiculous how far they would go to defend Pacquiao. And this whole at the end of May thing is clearly a duck, say any delay happens then the fight has to be cancelled, with May 5th date that may not necessarily be the case. But forget about the stadium, I don't even expect Floyd to take up the fight 5 days before his Jail sentence, and who could blame him (other than the pactars who would of course say how he is ducking and is scared of mighty Pacquiao).

"We are willing to fight, only if it is in the venue of our choice. Oh, you don't like the venue? Then no fight! None!"

"Oh, you will fight at the stadium? Well, too bad, the cut isn't healed yet."

I don't have a city map of LV on me but an outdoor fight right on the streets would be great. UNLV is too far and there's gonna be alot drunk drivers that night.

    Here's the situation right now:

Floyd: 'I have the MGM booked for 5th of May. Can't fight later, got jail'

Arum/Pac: 'But the stadium won't be built by the 5th of may!'

Every normal human being: 'WTF Arum?'

Pac fans: 'FLOYD IS DUCKING! PAC 4eva!'

FLoyd fans will take the bus...

its just a straight shot right down tropicana from the MGM.

    That place is a dump.

May 5th is the best bet to put a fight outside at Sam Boyd stadium.

if arum and pac think they can fight in 100 degree heat come memorial weekend, they are putting their health on the line.

You have ANY idea what a massive undertaking that many seats would be? 20K temporary seats would be a massive undertaking? Double or triple that? You can't put up some rickety ass bleacher when that many seats are involved unless people are sitting on a hillside.
