If he does, which he very well may do (although I see him winning via a decision, and personally had Ward winning 10-2, so that's hard to beat), then wouldn't that make the rematch a bit of a nothing fight? I don't really get this whole 2 fight deal. It makes perfect sense if the fight is a close, entertaining one. But in that case, it's likely both fighters would agree to do an immediate rematch anyway. But if it's not... I don't see the point of going at it again. I like this fight though.

Hearn sounds pretty confident & happy about the negos with Interbox. It's not like they have leverage, they don't. Bute is putting it all on the line e.g. if he loses he is GONE. Because it is actually Froch we're talking about, the build-up and interest in QC will be tremendously big. A second fight would (again, 'would') not be marketable if (again, 'if') Froch OR Bute loses a lopsided UD / by KO/TKO in Canada. If it's a close fight in the FOTY realm of things, then a shitload of cash is to be made with a second fight. We'll get clear statements on contract clauses when the presser finally takes place. Wonder how much Ward will make fighting a Dog.
I think Froch is passed it, sad to say, but this will certainly be an interesting fight regarless. IMO Bute 'aint all that, (it's just a weak division) but I sure wouldn't mind if he surprised me.

I'm looking forward for this fight . Bute has a lot of pressure on his shoulders because he can lose his belt. If Bute will win in Canda and the fight will be a close one then Bute has to go in U.K where the risk to lose his belt increases. On the other hand Froch can make good money and he hasn't nothing to lose. So, Bute has to prepare very good his uppercut.
