no, juan manuel lopez is a pressure fighter and not a very good fighter although he did get outboxed and ko'd by salido. But it goes both ways, depends on how a fighter has been trained throughout his career

That's why Marquez moved up from lightweight to beat Pac, while Cotto got destroyed? Name all the current Puerto Rican Boxers more technically skilled than Marquez?

I disagree they ended the fight right about when Margarito was taking Cotto to deep water...if margo could not do **** why was Cotto running away?

If you talking from Chavez on forward, yea it seems that way, but not always. Camacho beat a faded Limon and Cotto a faded Bazan, Tito beat a prime Campas, and Santos beat Margo and a fading Campas, but the biggest Mexican vs Puerto Rican fight of them all involved a Mexican that started out as a brawler-puncher and evolved into a counterpuncher, but a counterpuncher that would sometimes go back to his roots. So not completely true, but its just mostly high profile fights where a good PR boxer couldnt deal with a good Mexican pressure fighter.

I dont agree with the TS but Qawi-Ocasio is a good example of this.

some people have amnesia!!! just cause lately mexican fighters have had the upper hand it does not mean that is has been like that for the last 15 years....please. In Puerto Rico we bread BOXERS and FIGHTERS, not brawlers and we will continue. Shut you should see the new crop of young fighters that will explode in about 5 more years!

in the beginning cotto was boxing him and at the end he was starting to seat on his punches cause he was seeing that margarito was weakening not him. At the end of the 8th round Dr. wanted to stop it and gave Margarito that extra round and he did nothing but absorb punishment . It was reverse from the 1st fight not like it as you are assuming, So by cotto stopping his movements to deliver his meaningful blows you guys are taking that out of context that he was weakening

I like how people say "boxing smart" and not trading is running.. Why did Margo decide to "turn it up" in the late rounds..

More technically gifted then Juan Marquez and Ricardo Lopez name one?

Or a great Pressure fighter Like JC Chavez...

Mexico has had great Fighter with the balls to go all out, with no fear...

PR is known for skills but no heart.
