In fairness to Arum's vague and unrealistic plan, I was under the impression that the Wynn and Venetian were still going to put up the hosting money for the stadium to be built in one of their parking lots.

So maybe they will increase the site fee if the attendance is larger, hoping the extra fans stay in their hotel, use their tables etc.

They exist in all event locations, and the MGM. They would not be "extra seats." The extra seats would be upper deck/nosebleed types.

Even at 30,000 extra (which would be a lot) which would most likely range from $200 down to $50...but for this math, we will go with the higher $200, you get 6 million. Now, a stadium needs to be built. A quick net search and I see some temp stadiums being built priced from like 15-20 million. Even if it was 1/2 of that, you get a break even number.

People buying $100 tickets aren't dropping high roller money on the tables though

a temp stadium would have to built OFF STRIP, and none of that "extra money" would make it's way to arum, pac, or floyd...so, what's your point?

No, but they don't need to if there are 30k of them. Not 40m but their table money and hotel money will be significant, as well as friends who may go without a ticket.

If they all drop $100 (not all will gamble) it would be what 3,000,000, most won't stay at the same hotel, we're talking about people on budgets here, the casinos pay big money to get billionaire high rollers in their casino, they give them free fight tickets/food/hotel rooms to get these because their value is worth so much

    you really believe that?

don't you think that as a casino owner, it would be of interest to you to bring in 30,000 extra people to your town for a weekend? don't you think that uncle bob knows this? they will be very well reimbursed for bringing in the extra people.

also, if pacquiao is fighting, hundreds if not thousands of mega rich pinoys will be making their way over. those boys will spend big $ in the casinos etc.

fights like this benefit everyone in vegas, don't forget that.

are you ******ed? do you not think the MGM already pays that? And it's something that is already built.

How much do you think a 50k person temp stadium will cost? and what casino will it be near? Joe Bob's Lucky Shack?

Premier tickets for this event will be in the tens of thousands of dollars per seat!! everyone there will buy a programme as a souvenir as around $30 a time, food and alcohol sales plus merchandise will all add to the total.

Advertising alone for an event of this magnitude will make **** loads!!
