Touche. :good But hey, took me all of 30 seconds to type. But this is a pretty solid card with several interesting matchups, and it's all but guaranteed to feature at least three exciting fights, including the title fight main event. What exactly is there to ***** about? :huh And what's the point of just making post after post after post of nothing but complaints and "everything was better years ago, the modern scene sucks"? :conf Anyway, I'm excited about this one. Looking forward to Edgar-Benson as I don't see ANY way that one turns into a dull affair. I'll be cheering for my boy Joe Lauzon in a very competitive scrap, and Rampage-Bader is a good crossroads fight for both guys. Does Rampage stay relevant in the sport with a good win, or does Bader go some way towards reviving his once highly-promising career? I don't see this as a bad card at all. But as always, with scurla, nothing's ever good enough if it has a UFC sticker on it. It's just *****, *****, *****. :-( :hat
As much **** as they sound off about Zuffa, they couldn't do without.. I said so in his last Pride thread, but I'm just glad that thread flamed out. They can't have it both ways.. Some Pride fanboys just need to stay in the past or find a classic section to post in. Maybe that's why he found shame in "All the Japanese fighters on the prelims" :nut This card rocks.. You can either hand it to UFC matchmaking or be a ****.
The only thing I have to say is this, poor japanese having to wake up early in the morning to go the to event. IMO it's a ****in lack of respect !
anyone worth their salt knows if this was under the pride banner hed be proclaiming it a better card than the ufc have EVER put on.
This card may not be packed full of MMA legends (it only has one, at this point in time), but it is packed full of good, competitive matchups. And several of them have definate potential to be back and forth wars featuring guys who look to finish their opponents. This isn't a show with a decent main event and an undercard full of embarrassing mismatches. This is a fight card that looks like it will deliver several good fights, including an anticipated title match that has definite FOTY potential. I don't really see how any fight fans are getting the **** end of the stick here. :conf :hat
Has Dana ever said "This card is better than anything Pride ever put out"? If not, then shut the **** up about it..
