Longinidis looks incredible in this. Very, very fast and smooth.

Stan "The Man".. I followed him as best I could after the Dennis Alexio fight.. No internet, just magazines in B & W back then

Didn't get back into kickboxing until a few years ago, but a great career he had.. Incredible flexibility for 5'10, 220 pounds, and good showmanship.

Textbook left hook he landed, he mixes it up well in this one.

Yep - I was a 13 year old munchkit training at the same gym as Stan and Tosca Petridis. :!:

Stan had knocked Charlie out about eight weeks before and Charlie wanted a rematch and to come out to Australia. Was a huge show for the time and of course Charlie was reminescent of Mr T.

Jeez, that's a blast from the past. Wow, that takes me right back. Stan the Man - he's an Aussie thing, you'll never ever hear him mentioned in NZ. Seeing the thread title and clicking on the video, that triggered a whole flood of memories I haven't thought about in years. I felt a little strange and I don't know what type of strange. That was weird. I think I just had a little bit of a moment.

    :hat

Stan certainly was a beast. Not sure what he's up to these days, but he was seen in the corner of his brother, who was competing not that long ago.

Stan is teaching casually in Tullamarine and still doing the corporate and computer work. I work with him on Powerplay shows.

I will be working with him on Apr 28 judging and also have one of my HW's fighting MT. Big Powerplay show in Melb - seen the card and it's an excellent mix of Thai and K-1. Worth a weekend trip to Melb.

Nice Stan the Man vid. Never seen this one before. His classic fight with Maurice Smith is floating around on Youtube as well.
