The only fighter in his entire stable that has star potential is Donaire and he is too small to fight Pac, so unless they plan on bringing him up to 147, a Bradley, Peterson, Cotto win won't do anything for Top Rank. None of those guys are capable of generating a million ppv buys.

thats exactly what i been sayin. why would Arum want to lose his cash cow against a non TR fighter? when he can get a TR fighter to beat Manny then the "De La Hoya Affect" can happen all over again. Arum will have another overhyped cash cow, milk his ass against washed up opponents, then use floyds name then claim floyds ducking. :yep

 

Bradley would be a disaster. That's not how boxing works today. The largest fan base are Mexicans. In order to sell, you basically have to be a latino star, a guy that fights in a way that is exciting (all offense and high KO %), or a guy that gets under their skin and they pay to see lose. Bradley fits none of those. Rios may work if he improves.

Only reason arum is saying this is to make sure the fight doesnt happen. FIghting late in may floyd would not have the right recovery prior to jail, arum knows this!
