    Oh brother.

Lemme explain something to you, the biggest date in boxing is gonna be whenever this fight takes place whether it's may, june, november or whenever.

Book a date and let the lawyers deal with the courts, shouldn't be too difficult to appeal a different date, happens all the time in court proceedings.

Because he has a contract with the MGM grand on May 5th, which had become one of the bigest boxing days for boxing.

Really? then why didn't he think about what would he would do if they had a counter proposal before locking himself in?

well then he's the dumbass who locked himself in before checking to see if he had an opponent first.

still, contracts can always be re-negotiated and payoffs can be made.

Leave it up to the lawyers and go for the bigger money.

every other title fight happens at MGM Grand. UFC has fightnight cards there.

Why would you be against making this fight as big as it could possibly be?

Because May 5th wasn't a problem when Arum wanted Pac to fight Marquez a fourth time. :deal

This is not a courtyard we are talking about, this is the MGM Grand, THE spot for boxing. Both Pacquiao fights in Dallas Cowboys Stadium have not produced the revenue that the MGM has produced this year between the Pac/JMM 3 fight and May/Ortiz fight.

So, what was that about more seats equaling more money?? :think

Wow, you will try to find an arguement for simple logic. Mayweather book the date to capitalize on boxings biggest fight date. If he doest get Manny he'll will fight one of the popular Mexican fighters and still make out great. Who's the fool not Mayweather he has the date the Bob Arum wants and can't have without Mayweather.

A pac x floyd fight is 10x as big as a JMM4 fight.

Still, Floyd didn't bother checking with TR and went on his own. Dumb move, he of all people would know Arum would **** on his idea of setting up terms without any agreements.

Do you know how much a Grandiose temporary stadium would cost? $10 mill ain't gonna cut it. To build this vision of yours will eat up what little difference in revenue it MIGHT make! Besides it runs the risk of not being completed in time they could agree tomorrow in principle and still take a month for the ink to dry. Have you also thought about what happens if this Palace in the desert takes a lot longer to build than first thought? Hell any home owner will tell ya that it usually takes twice as long and money to do any task!

A Pac X Floyd fight at a larger capacity arena 3x the capacity of MGM would generate more money. Thats a no brainer.

Soooo, you're cool with them changing the date arbitrarily because Floyd's last name isn't Marquez? :rofl:rofl

Floyd booked the venue that anyone in boxing would love a big fight to happen at. This has been three years coming, Mayweather took charge. More than TR has ever done.

This is a moot point you know. Arum has already folded on it having to be in the temporary stadium. :verysad

Bob Arum has been the one pissing on the ideal of this fight the whole time, when are you going to stop drinking the Kool Aid and look at who doesn't want this fight. There no advantage for Bob when he deals with Mayweather, believe it or not Mayweather has been the bigger draw. Negotiating power Mayweather

Shouldn't cost near 10 mill. that was my gross over estimation. It cost ESPN 2.5 mill to build and transform downtown L.A. for the Xgames and it took about a couple of weeks. An arena setup in an open area in Vegas would be cake compared to that.
