You could hear the hoof beats pound as they raced across the ground, And the clatter of the wheels as they spun 'round and 'round. And he galloped into market street, his badge upon his chest, His name was Ernie, and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west. Now Ernie loved a widow, a lady known as Sue, She lived all alone in Liddley Lane at number 22. They said she was too good for him, she was haughty, proud and chic, But Ernie got his cocoa there three times every week. They called him Ernie, (Ernieeeeeeeeeee) And he drove the fastest milk cart in the west. She said she'd like to bathe in milk, he said, "All right, sweetheart," And when he'd finished work one night he loaded up his cart. He said, "D'you want it pasturize? 'Cause pasturize is best," She says, "Ernie, I'll be happy if it comes up to my chest." That tickled old Ernie, (Ernieeeeeeeeeee) And he drove the fastest milk cart in the west. Now Ernie had a rival, an evil-looking man, Called Two-Ton Ted from Teddington and he drove the baker's van. He tempted her with his treacle tarts and his tasty wholemeal bread, And when she seen the size of his hot meat pies it very near turned her head. She nearly swooned at his macaroon and he said, "If you treat me right, You'll have hot rolls every morning and crumpets every night." He knew once she sampled his layer cake he'd have his wicked way, And all Ernie had to offer was a pint of milk a day. Poor Ernie, (Ernieeeeeeeeeee) And he drove the fastest milk cart in the west. One lunch time Ted saw Ernie's horse and cart outside her door, It drove him mad to find it was still there at half past four. And as he lept down from his van hot blood through his veins did course, And he went across to Ernie's cart and didn't half kick his 'orse. Whose name was Trigger, (Triggerrrrrrrr) And he pulled the fastest milk cart in the west. Now Ernie rushed out into the street, his gold top in his hand, He said, "If you wanna marry Susie you'll fight for her like a man." "Oh why don't we play cards for her?" he sneeringly replied, "And just to make it interesting we'll have a shilling on the side." Now Ernie dragged him from his van and beneath the blazing sun, They stood there face to face, and Ted went for his bun. But Ernie was too quick, things didn't go the way Ted planned, And a strawberry-flavoured yogurt sent it spinning from his hand. Now Susie ran between them and tried to keep them apart, And Ernie, he pushed her aside and a rock cake caught him underneath his heart. And he looked up in pained surprise and the concrete hardened crust, Of a stale pork pie caught him in the eye and Ernie bit the dust. Poor Ernie, (Ernieeeeeeeeeee) And he drove the fastest milk cart in the west. Ernie was only 52, he didn't wanna die, And now he's gone to make deliveries in that milk round in the sky. Where the customers are angels and ferocious dogs are banned, And the milkman's life is full of fun in that fairy, dairy land. But a woman's needs are many fold and soon she married Ted, But strange things happened on their wedding night as they lay in their bed. Was that the trees a-rustling? Or the hinges of the gate? Or Ernie's ghostly gold tops a-rattling in their crate? They won't forget Ernie, (Ernieeeeeeeeee) And he drove the fastest milk cart in the west.
The image of MMA is interesting to the public currently, its something new and the organization is centralized and easy to follow not to mention the action in the ring is entertaining. But the image is very vain/inflated/manufactured. Demeans fighting in a way, created like a WWE brand of fighting and then to compare it to boxing which is very grounded/fortified through history/practiced by those in absolute poverty/ grass roots and in touch with the real world. I saw Joe Rogan sit next to Roach and the quality of psychology wasn't even comparable.
I agree with this in a way. Its somewhat true. But MMA is the sport and the UFC is the organization, which is what is very like WWE in the way they have tried to market themselves. I don't get how it demeans fighting though... :huh
Explain to how a ****** in hollywood writting a script has any link whatsoever with the MMA community ? If I follow your logic the people that wrotte the last CSI NY must all have been former MMA champion since he put an MMA fight in the NY state ? WOW, I couldn't even try to make this up if I wanted to...this is the other movie the WRITTER worked on.... This content is protected How ****in ******ed can the boxing community be...cause you being of the boxing community and bringing this up...you know what I mean !
Why is it when a boxer is knocked down and gets concussed, he's often allowed to stand up, have a more than ten seconds to recover, (always takes a few of seconds from the punch landing for the standing-eight to begin), and then continue the fight with the opportunity for a very dangerous immediate second concussion? Getting concussed, waking up and then immediately getting concussed again within seconds or minutes is extremely dangerous. "Protect yourself at all times." It's the fighter's job to fight. It's the ref's job to stop the fight. You've never seen someone with glazed eyes and rubbery legs get punched around the ring and then KOed in a boxing match? :huh :hat
And yes, MMA is in a FAR better place than boxing at the moment. It's a relevant sport. It's gaining new fans every day. it's easy to follow. Easy to introduce someone to the sport. Great fights between top guys are happening every single month. Champions fight top contenders every time out. Top prospects fight each other to earn title shots, instead of fighting 30 mismatches. The fighters are extremely accessible. And so on, and so on. ****, I've been a boxing fan all my life. I still am, but I can hardly tell you what's going on with the sport outside of maybe four or five guys. In direct comparision, it's so much easier to follow MMA. Follow boxing, you wait YEARS for the odd big fight to happen. Literally years. In the UFC, Mayweather and Pac would have fought 3x by now, guaranteed. And Wlad-Haye wouldn't have taken three years to put together either. :bart :hat
Are you a fighter or Have you hung out with real with boxers, you wouldn't even know if a world champ was in the room. The culture is very differant, respect is a real thing not swept up in egos and fame. Seeing a tatted up tapout *** make his presence in a room, shouting **** about what he thinks he knows, how gsp is **** because he won't knock anyone out getting into bar fights punching people while theyre down. the two sports are differant, one has class the other is still in its infancy. i agree about the mma is not ufc point, i was directly talking about ufc. Not pride/dream/k1 etc.
I meant the personality and character of a boxer and supporter is more honorable/respectful to fighting than those immature ****s in the mma world. The way boxing is marketed isn't some school boy tough man act either. No one needs to prove something outside the ring, it's all said in the ring.
