Obvious to anyone who's ever seen Mayweather do this before, time and time again. He hasn't made any steps to make this fight happen, as usual.

Floyd and Top Rank aren't ever doing business with eachother, and it's all about the money. Floyd's lined up a fight with GBP fighter already.

Then why have the three main members of team Pacquiao, come out with excuses as to why the fight can't happen on the date that was asked for in the publicity stunt?

If you and the rest of the Pac fans on ESB know it's a publicity stunt, why don't Bob Arum, Freddie Roach, and Manny know?

I can only think the answer is they are too worried that if they agree publically, their bluff will be called. That, or they beleive Floyd is serious

one reason could be that they already have other plans and can't be arsed to jeopardize them for another round of negotiations that may or may not lead to a fight. Also, Floyd probably already picked his opponent. At the very least we know he's already got a deal with GBP to fight on may 5th in the venue that they reserved. It sounds like he has plans and they involve Golden Boy, not Top Rank. So yea, publicity stunt.

Team Pac saying they'd fight Floyd at a later date is akin to calling Floyd's bluff, coz in effect Floyd will get ridiculed if he goes on and fight at the 5th with somebody else not named Pacquiao. If Floyd's intent for his social-media rampage was to make it look like Pac was the one preventing the fight than it's sure as hell gonna backfire if he don't concede to the later May date.
