Why not May 5th? Why all the excuses? Why was Arum saying Pacquiao wont fight til June? After he said May 5th was a great date for Marquez vs Pacquiao 4? Why move the date closer to Floyd's court date to turn himself in? Hoping he turns it down and they save face?

Ok so since you know for a fact the judge will delay his sentence how about you go talk to him or her and make this fight happen.

    You can do it.:good

And May 5th isnt doomed to fail Floyd can fight anyone on that date and still sell out the MGM and sell over a million PPVs so stop acting like Floyd has no options but to bend over for Arum.

It has nothing to do with the actual date and everything to do with the way Floyd went about forcing the date and venue on PAC.

It would have the same results if PAC said he secured a venue and date for Floyd to accept. Forcing Manny or Floyd to do anything will immediately result in push back....and a negative outcome.

Floyd's not an idiot and he knew that....but that is a telling sign that Floyd didn't want to face PAC on May 5th. If he REALLY wanted to fight PAC he would change up his tactics from what has failed time and time again.

Dictating will never result in solidifying this fight simply becuase both men feel they have leverage to get what they want...or at least have a say in how this fight happens.

Floyd took all that from PAC and PAC played the same card.....issuing Floyd a NEW date at the end of the month.

This is all a game.....neither man will bow down to the other and that means until they can negotiate the proper way....we won't be seeing this mega fight.

Simple.....it's news. PAC declined May 5th.... At the surface it looks like PAC doens't want the fight so the majority of fans who know little about boxing base their observation without having any kind of real depth of knowledge about the entire story.

Now that PAC has shot back with a May 31st date we see Floyd pushing back and declining which means Floyd's gonna be looked at again as the one ducking the fight.

It's a cycle if you haven't noticed.....it's like a roller coaster with peaks and valleys where each man in this situation get the full spectrum of criticism and support.

Aww poor Pacquiao.... Floyd forced the best Arena i Vegas and the best boxing date of the year on Pacquiao. And it's a fight that Pacquiao "wants".

Don't feel bad for PAC. He's not worried about it and the MGM is NOT the best arena. Floyd knows that too. May 5 is the best date for Latin fighters and that is HISTORICALLY fact. Floyd and PAC are NOT latino....in case you didn't know.

PAC wants the fight but he's not going to take it up the ass in order to get it. It's the same reason Floyd didn't assume the position when Bob tried to gorrilla pimp Floyd with his ultimatum to accept the fight under Top Ranks terms.

Of course they're fine with it. They don't care to see their guy get his ass handed to him. They know that Floyd's lightning fast and sharp as a laser. They aren't looking forward to the sight of their hero pissing blood from his face, taking punch after punch until the trainer, the ref, or the ringside doc calls a halt to the action. That would really be a pretty ugly sight. I hope I get the satisfaction of the endorphines in my brain doing gymnastics while they clean the blood off of Pacquiao's face. They're scared of cuts for good reason. If they're that concerned about a cut, something that's a reality in all fights, they should just retire Pacquiao really soon. If the problem is cuts, we'll never see that fight because Floyd cuts. If a guy is prone to cuts, he will cause one or more. By punches of course. If he's scared of cuts, then they better not fight Bradley next.
