Big chance for him- good to see a fighter hungry to step up a level! what was the injury that had him out so long??? National professional boxing awards take place next week http://www.irish-boxing.com/2012/01/national-profesional-boxing-awards-takes-place-next-week/ what you reckon? who do you think should have won!
Anyone have a rough idea of what they get up to training wise in the High performance Unit? Reading Egan's book at the mo and he's raving about it!
Irishboxers has it alright so it must not be true :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Seriously Waldron has been not only beaten but stopped in his last four fights how in the name of the good dude does he qualify for an Irish title,No disrespect to the man but the BUI should not sanction this.
Paddy Mcdonagh would want to get a move on with his training.I was at a sparring session today and he got beat to death by an amateur.
The pro light heavy limit is 80k Connie Sheehan is 100 kilos plus and damn good at it.Thats a 40 pound diffrence.
He is Mush but at the same time Mcdonagh had serious problems with hand-speed and just ability and there's 2 stone weight difference I suppose.Point taken
and at the minute our top amateurs are much better schooled ,fitter and stronger than most of out pro lads,Thats not a slight at our pro lads just the way things are at the minute.
Lads speaking of Con Sheehan, do you remember reading in Kenny Egans book about himself and Egan going to Oktoberfest, and entering some boxing match while they were on the bear? Sheehan was about half a round in the ring before he had yer man covered in blood
