Regarding the venue and "increased revenues...

    I'm confused, maybe someone could help me better understand...just to equal what ODLH/PBF did at the MGM Grand, the would have to sell another 63,600 tickets at $190 per ticket, in Dallas, TX... and that's just to match that number? Which is 3x as many tickets sold (at $100 more per ticket) as Manny drew in Dallas the first time.

    Now that being said that doesn't begin to address this "30 million" they stand to gain by having it somewhere else. To reach that number those same 63,600 tickets would have to average of $661.00 per ticket. To even try and make the case that you are going to sell 100,000 tickets at $480 per ticket, in this economy, in Dallas, TX is ridiculous, and is as flawed a business model as one could construct. That is the same 3x as many tickets only at approx $400 more dollars per ticket. To attempt to justify moving this fight would be based on idiotic logic and unprecedented levels of economic irresponsibility.

    ODLH/Mayweather (MGM Grand Garden Arena): The highest (gate grossing fight), Oscar De La Hoya vs Floyd Mayweather Jr on May 5, 2007 grossed $18,419,200.00

    Manny/Clottey (Cowboys Stadium): The fight was rewarded with a paid crowd of 36,371 and a gate of $6,359,985 (can be found on Manny's Wiki page).

    Jus guessing but probably that Arum's real issue with the date and venue is that it's a venue reserved by Golden Boy Promotions on a date reserved by Golden Boy Promtions. Golden Boy probably already has contracts in place with the Casino (for sure), the cable distributors, and HBO. And who knows what else.

    Really...so you think they'll sell 100k tickets at $190 per ticket average in TX? Three times what the did in terms of gate and revenue from their other appearance there?

    I don't have enough info to figure that, but if you just took an average to get in the door was over a $1100...but that's not necessarily accurate because there were obviously some more expensive, and some cheaper than the $1100 average.

    And I'm sure they know full well they will have to spilt everything with Top Rank. And the same if the situation was reversed. This fight is not getting done without Golden Boy but Arum seems to have a big problem with this but Floyd will NOT let Arum promote the fight solo and Floyd have to give his money to Arum.

    What 100k venue? There is none I can think of that would fit 100k and do you know how bad those high seat would be? The fighters will be like ants you wont even see there arms.

    Unlike in a Arena made for boxing like MGM, MSG, Mandalay ect tere isn't a bad seat in the house.

    There's no way this fight ends up in Dallas, the Casinos are the highest bidders.

    The DLH-Mayweather fight sold out in 2 hours, meaning that they probably could have sold about 25k more tickets at the same price average before fight night..

    If there was more than 16k seats in the MGM of course.

    yea I think they can do 100K tickets at 190$ average in TX. Some of these tickets would go for thousands of dollars, and I'd expect people to flock to Texas from all over North America for this fight. Don't forget the Clottey fight was poorly promoted, that Clottey was an unknown commodity, and that it sold about 1/3 to 1/4 of the DLH-PBF fight in terms of PPV
