I think he got thumped and thought "a payday will do" when he hit the floor. I don't think he was out cold.
Maybe he gave up but fixed as in somebody paid somebody off? Why would anyone pay off that guy to lose to Mike Tyson? Tyson could kill that ugy on his death bed. It would be a stupid risk.
Not fixed. Mike didn't need a fight to be fixed. He knew that he could still compete on a certain level against guys like Etienne. Mike hit him with a good shot and Etienne ****ed up his leg on the way down. They were both in it for a paycheck. And when you get hit in the chin,the last thing you want is a mouthpiece in there. Many fighter spit the mouthpiece or take it out.

Not fixed. Stupid question. The removal of the mouthpiece just says, "Damn, that ***** just knocked my ass down hard and fast! That's enough of this gettin' hit ****! F*ck Tyson, this fight and this mouthpiece!"
I think the main arguement for it being a fix is when Clifford took his mouthpiece out after being kocked out, but it should be noted that Etienne ALWAYS takes his mouthpiece out when he gets knocked down. Watch some youtube videos you will see, its a very weird thing that he does. I think he got knocked down and decided not to get up.
