Maybe he can finaly get his career back on track now. I lost quite a bit of my hope for him when he smashed his atv while drinking but thats not really that big of deal.
i mean...it kinda is. for a guy who has been in rehab twice and has quite a few incidents that have being "over served" written all over them...
Yeah, but I already knew he was drinking from when "Rustbelt" told me he met Pavlik at the bar and he had some drinks. I just thought that Pavlik has been getting totally smashed all the time because he crashed his atv, but in reality Pavlik may have only had a few drinks. I used to have a dirt bike I would crash and wipe it out all the time, sober even.
I hope he can keep his head up and stay on the right path, hes still a good fighter. I was hoping hed hook up with Steward myself
Agreed. It will be a hell of an adjustment for Pavlik. New trainer, new city, and in a gym packed with elite level fighters he won't be the main man anymore. But it's gotta be worth the risk.
He will be training and fighting a bunch of Mexican's! He will adjust just fine! He will learn something new everyday!
He might learn some Spanish, but I don't think Garcia has anyone at SMW/MW of note for him to spar. Pavlik's style would work pretty well with typical Mexican fighters. It's the movers and angles he seems to struggle with.
alfonso blanco is a pretty good jr middleweight, plus they get a lot of people coming to their gym for sparring, i'm sure if they here kelly pavlik is in town a lot of middleweights will hop over to prove themselves.
