Have to say I'm now rooting for Belfort to do some serious damage.

The fight is only on if Rumble weighs in at 205lbs or less on the day. That's going to be a struggle.

I'm already visualising a drained Rumble gassing and getting KO'd, then getting dumped out of the UFC.

Rumble is SO talented but this kid should have just started at 205 and be done with it. Put a few pounds on those legs and just make 205. He probably doesn't know what it feels like to feel fresh and health leading up to a fight and in the fight.

Dan Hardy lost to a light heavyweight. We should reverse that loss. :)

To be fair if it was up to me I'd cut him now and find a last minute opponant. I know the fans wouldn't be happy but **** me you have to take a stand. He can't have even tried to make weight.

He must have so much pressure on his mind. Dana already said they've had this issue before and you know that means he is begging to cut him for being so unprofessional.

I think they should keep him because in fairness, if you miss the weight you are giving up serious purse money and that is enough of a punishment. Some fighters are stupid but I can't see why they would want to give up money, that is what they fight for.

This is not 'missing the weight' this is showing a flagrant disreguard for the whole concept of having weight divisions and deciding that 80% of the purse on offer is preferable to 100% of the purse and the possibility of losing the fight and future earnings thereafter. To miss the weight by this much is akin to jabbing roids in your arse cheek. It is an unfair advantage and cheating. Vitor looks ike making the weight has drained him. Cancel the fight.

RIO DE JANEIRO – in Brazil where co-headliner Anthony Johnson was the start of the festivities – for all the wrong reasons.

Johnson, a former welterweight making his middleweight debut, badly missed weight and weighed 197 pounds for his bout with Vitor Belfort.

Today's festivities took place at at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, the same venue that hosts Saturday's pay-per-view event.

Johnson has been fined 20 percent of his purse as a fine, and it's been awarded to Belfort. Additionally, Johnson can weigh no more than 205 pounds for tomorrow's fight to go on as planned.

The headliners, meanwhile, made weight without incident. UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo (145) and challenger Chad Mendes (144) were within the 145-pound limit
