His manager is trying to spin it that he's sick and couldn't cut any more weight for medical reasons. I might have some sympathy if this wasn't the third time he's badly missed weight.
ive a feeling Rumble deliberately didnt make weight, or just didnt try is probably a better word, because he knew Belfort would have too much pride in front of his home fans and would fight no matter what. IMO, the fight should be cancelled, and Johnsons purse given to Belfort. its not like he missed the cut by a few measily ounces, its 12lb, thats 12 bags of sugar lads. shocking stuff
i agree this is a shame, but i can't help the fact that i'm a huge fan of his and still hopes he knocks the **** out of belfort tomorrow (which probably has an even greater chance of happening than before due to what happened today). But for rumble's sake, if dana keeps him, he better not let this happen again
