Lewis won the first fight and he would won a second one.

Lewis always fought better in his rematches.

Vitali was good for 2 rounds in the first fight but than Lewis dictated the fight and won by TKO.

The second one would go the same way

All the comments of supporting a Lewis win by saying: "Lewis would have been in better shape, better prepared, etc..." are comical.
Of course Lewis would have in better shape. . . but here's why they are comical.

    1. Lewis was NOT in bad shape. It's funny how each year Lewis' shape during that fight seems to get worse and worse. I've got a poster on my wall of both Vitali and Lewis during the fight, and Lewis is in very good shape. 5lbs on someone that big is NOT a big deal. Sure, he would have been better in a rematch...but so would have Vitali.

    2. Vitali would have also been more focused, better prepared, etc... Why is this not mentioned? Funny how that is left out and you guys act like Lewis would be the only one making improvements....that's comical.

Lewis. It wouldn't be easy but he would stop him. Lewis was ALWAYS fantastic in rematches, and like many have said would be in better shape.

There is just nothing Vitali does better than Lewis.
    Jab- Lewis
    Power- Lewis
    Speed- Lewis
    Defense- Lewis

    Vitali has the better chin.

    Lewis stops him in 9.

And you also believe that Fritz Sdunek (Vitali's trainer) poisoned Wladimir. :-(

    Keith,

Yes Lewis may have been better prepared, in better shape, etc... in a rematch.

But so would have Vitali. Why is this overlooked?

I believe Vitali would of been smart enough in the rematch to keep Lewis from rubbing his "Brillo pad" hair against the side of his face all night.

Good point! Yes both fighters could have been better prepared, better shape, and etc in the rematch. I agree but Lewis would win the second fight again IMO.

HHaahahha apparently Lewis would have EASILY beat Vitali...why did he retire...

In shape? Vitali took the fight on incredibly short notice, people try to forget. Lennox would be scared and doubting himself coming into the rematch. *****.

    Hmm...funny that.?
I wonder what caused vitali to drink PINTS of his own blood.....a mouth injury that took 60 stitches to fix....lol....i suppose that was lennox's dreadlocks....and not the hugh uppercut that DRAINED the will completely out of QUITALI?
VITALI WAS AND AS HISTORY WILL REMMEMBER WILL BE A GOOD FEW NOTCHES BELOW LEWIS..........LENNOX TKO'D 6.
