I would assume Holmes was the best but we may never really know. Overall and in a historic sense he is but these are men that were in the top 5 or Co-Champs in his era that he somehow managed to avoid fighting or rematching.....I think Holmes is probably the number one Heavyweight Champion in the category of avoidance and navigation....pretty compelling

I consistently rate Holmes top 5 in both ATG and head to head. If i am honest and unbiased per his negatives and don't gloss them over, well tuff biccies.
