    Vitali was a 2 week replacement, if Vitali was given more time to train he would have performed better.

    Lewis was at the end of his career, Vitali was just getting used to his prime.


    This is the chain of heavyweights.

    Lewis knew that this was the best what he can do. He was in perfect shape for this fight.
    Any version of LL cannot outbox any version of Vitaly.

    The second fight between them would be a carbon copy of Vitaly-Sanders fight. Pain, suffering and humiliation for LL. His Mum knew better then all of you, and why not, she was watching boxing for a long time.

    The first fight was sloppy as ****, but Lewis landed almost every ****ing jab he threw dead flush. If he comes in in better shape (which he would have in a rematch) he wins by wide UD or stoppage (probably on cuts since Vitali a a tough SOB).

    1. Lewis weighed in at 256lbs. The highest weight he ever fought at. 10lbs more than his rematch against Rahman only a year and a half before. Therefore the fact that Lewis was in the worst shape of his career is irrefutable.

    2. Lewis had underestimated Vitali and did not realise he would have a such tough fight. Vitali, on the other hand, knew what he was up against as soon as he agreed to fight him. Lewis had been bossing the division and was The Man. Popular perception of Vitali at the time was that of a spineless quitter. So of course Lewis would have the edge in that he would not underestimate Vitali second time round.
