-Lennox Lewis really is no better then the likes of Jess Willard or Primo Carnera resume-wise.
-Carlos Zarate has a case for being the greatest mexican of all time.
-Gerry Cooney would've ran through most of Joe Louis's opponents, including Max Schmelling and Billy Conn.
-The Gatti-Ward trilogy is the most overrated trilogy of all time.
-Amir Khan is a complete hype job.

No doubt the first fight was one of the best of all time, but the point is that I think the trilogy is way overrated. the first one was great obviously, but the 2nd and third were largely dominated by Gatti and weren't nearly as competitive.

-Ike Ibeabuchi would have triumphed over Lennox Lewis by TKO 8 in a war and become the Heavyweight Champion of the World had he not gone to jail/gone crazy.
-Prime versions of DLH, Mosley, Pryor, and Chavez all would have beat Floyd Jr.
-DLH probably would have had a better career had he just fought as a southpaw instead of orthodox.
-Tszyu would have got KTFO by DLH had they fought at 140, and Mosley would have stopped him late after a competitive first 4 rounds.
-Felix Trinidad is one of the most overrated Welterweight Champions in history.
-Corrie Sanders would have blitzed Lennox much the same way he blitzed Wlad had Lennox been in the ring with Sanders that night.
-If Tua and Tyson had fought in 1996, Tua knocks Tyson out in 7. A prime Tyson knocks Tua out in 10 though.
-Prime Tyson (1986-1988, with Kevin Rooney training him) is the best H2H heavyweight in history.

I hope this is not an Unpopular Opinion, but I think this thread is worth stickying. There some points I acatualy agree with. There are points where we will have to agree to dissagree and some points that are just outragious.

very fair point. the third one especially has been blown up a bit. VERY good fight but really it's the first magical meeting that makes the trilogy worth watching :good

Marlon Starling had a good shot of beating Thomas Hearns if they fought in 82-83.

This is not too unpopular an opinion in my estimation..I agree with it. Starling was very capable of winning over Hearns.

Baby Arizmendi should be considered an absolute lock for Top 10 ATG featherweight, and if Sanchez hadn't been around, would be my choice as the greatest featherweight to come out of Mexico.

(And yes...I am including Saldivar in there when I make that statement.)
