2nd longest 20 count in boxing history since Benn McClelland Though Bute made up for nicely in the rematch that was just wrong in the 1st fight .

Is everyone completely forgetting that the only reason Kessler and Dirrell aren't ranked is because they haven't fought in a year? Stick those guys in and it's still very strong at the top, just not that deep (but still deeper than about half the weight classes).

I'd disagree that the back half of the top 10 was any better in 2005, but there's no use arguing.

Try telling that to the British. Early to mid 90's was the peak of SM.

    Benn, Eubanks, Collins, Calzaghe, Reid

It's a top heavy division, no doubt. But at least those at the top are fighting each other.

Of course Bailey will always try to downplay the accomplishments of any 168 pound fighter other than Slappy. He clearly has an agenda in every thread, but he's not a troll on the Aztecas level.

These guys fighting each other is whats keeping the division hot and actually helping boxing ..Man I can't wait for Manny and Mayweather to retire so the rest of the divisions can fall in line with the super middle ..And as far as Bailey well he started this to dowplay the division and its fighters because he knows Joe's fluffy legacy is about to get destroyed by any one of these guys ..

Kessler is ranked still and rightfully so.
Dirrells biggest win is arguably Oganov, thats not amazing

Along with Froch, Catley, Woodhall etc
Not to forget Starie, Francis, Wharton etc

By the way Collins isnt British dummy

Now who do you think from the current numbers of 5 to 10 would beat Wharton?

I don't agree that it's weak...but there is a clear #1. So that might be the reason it appears weak.

    Theres no troll here.
I noted that Bute and Ward are clearly above and need to fight to prove who is best, other than them you have Kessler and Steiglitz. Froch has never beaten a top SMW. Fact. Tell me one Froch has beaten, the most accomplished SMW Froch has beaten other than very faded Reid is B Magee. Do you not know the division?

Now tell me how the numbers 7-10 make the top 10 with what they have done so far. Do you think they would be top 10 in another era recantly with what they have done?

Bute and Ward need to fight to clear up the division.

Tell me what you think Oousthuizen, Groves and DeGale have done to warrant being top 10. If they can be top 10 with what they have done as of now, then the division is weak as normally a fighter would have done more to have made it there.
G Johnson has lost more fights at SMW than hes won and was only a journeyman when he tried to be a SMW before.
Abraham hasnt any top wins at SMW etc

Whats mad? Froch is 34 and has never beaten a top SMW and only won vacant titles, whats that got to do with anything?

Bute and Ward need to decide the division, but once again
