At the end of the day he got exactly what he wanted. If he hadn't had made such a big deal about it he would not have got a rematch. He did exactly what he had to do.

Not true, he still would've got the rematch, just not straight away, Peterson's justifiably looking to make a bit of money of a Pacquaio fight & in my eyes he's right.

Also Khan has got alot of dubious decisions in the past, how he wasn't stopped in the 10th against Maidana is shocking, Cortez was practically holding him up, then he gave McCloskey a little scratch & that got stopped. He did low blow Judah (Judah did play on it) why hasn't Zab been given a rematch.

Khan's a whining, whinging, unsportsmanlike little brat...he never gave Peterson his just due for beating him, just like he never gave Prescott his just dues, I really hope they fight again & Peterson stops him

He hasn't got a rematch though has he?

Peterson can drop the belt and tell the WBA to **** off. Imagine if we saw this sort of drama after every close fight? :patsch

  4. I'm amazed that a man as tightfisted as Khan places so much value in ''paid for'' titles.

I'd have thought he'd just declare himself ''champion'' and start from there

On Peterson, I think he'll run with the rematch unless an offer is made for him to face Pacquiao. For that he'd be looking at probably $3m+, whereas a Khan rematch he'd be lucky to do much over $1m.

If Peterson is stripped then I'd assume there'd be no Vacant title as Maidana has the WBA regular title.

    Khan deserves a rematch here.

:patschKhan's a joke, Cortez was practically holding Khan up in the 10th against Maidana, any other ref would've stopped it,

If Khan ever fought Maidana again, I'd bet he'd get ruined, like he'd get ruined in a Peterson rematch,

Can't see Golden Boy and Freddie letting Pacman near Peterson until Khan gets another crack, and interesting situation is if Khan was made to fight the WBA regular Champ for the vacant belt:patsch

I think you've got it the wrong way round - Pac drives the sport financially right now, so if he wants Peterson then there's no way Khan gets the rematch any time soon.

Khan would have gotten his rematch if he'd been patient.

Without the point deductions I think that Khan won the fight, I thought he won even with the deductions but it was close and it was a decent scrap.......Why would Khan give a rematch to someone he dominated (McCloskey), stopped legit (Judah) or is in no position to give a rematch to because he was stopped (Prescott), thats just daft. Maidana is now up at 147 so we may see that again in the future

So you would rather see Peterson carried and then stopped in a one sided beat down by Pac than a decent competitive entertaining fight with Khan? Boxing fans bemuse me sometimes

    Lame ****

    Sure he would :)

i think its more a case of thinking he deserves a crack at the best and a very nice payday, rather than (in all likelihood) getting jobbed at the MEN against khan for less money

    dont be daft

youre telling me that punch is the other way round and Khan gets stopped?

huh? he wont rematch him because he knocked him out?

    after that 10th? not likely
