I have to disagree big time. not sure what would have happened to his eye but Vitali would have rather died in that night after Byrd catastrophe knocking on his subconscious. I can not disagree with this either.:good

And I say again it was Lennox Who met his match for first time in his career in that night. Fight was stopped by cut against fighters own will. In Fight where champ was losing it.. Fights like these requires immediate rematches(Which Whole god damn Boxing World wanted to see except Lewis, his Mom and his insecure fan base for some weird reason). That all being said Lewis TKO6 and he is a truely Great, Great champ with great reign. We can hardly say same about Vitali but Vitali being damn good fighter on his own thou..

You must have misread what I was saying. I said I would rather be Lewis in that situation. Unless you knew what I was saying but you decided to say something stupid anyway.
Vitali lost because he failed to defend himself. Thats boxing, if you cant box then you are going to fnid it hard to win. He however did excellently, and you can understand why Lennox retired promptly, he had lost some of his whompf at 37 and he knew full well that prime Vitali could now beat him.
prime Lewis would have managed prmie Vitali though, dontknow how anyone can doubt that. Vitali is great for what he does but hes almost a parttmier compared to true champions - hes had time out to get a Masters degree, and his brother had the other title - for goodness sake that doesnt happen unless the division is well watered down.
