Vitor cut 25lbs in 4 days. Likewise Jardine was 20lbs over 185 a few days before the weigh in. Johnson also was 215lbs a week before the fight. 'How' are these guys making drastic weight drops like this when diuretics are illegal?

Are there "natural" diuretics which won't be detected in a Urine test?

Coffee. Even water are natural diuretics. But they're not going to take that as fluid intake would mean hydration which is the opposite of what they're trying to accomplish.

Caffiene isn't a great diuretic but yeah water loading helps guys cut. Apart from that not drinking and sauna in a sweat suit.

    I can't drink coffee.

One cup of proper ground coffee makes me produce no end of cups of ****.

    **** really ****s me up.

Iv used it before. Worked great for me. Lost 19lbs slowly over the course of 3 weeks.
As for the lata is that realistic? These guys are dropping 20lbs a few days before? That's a massive amount of weight to shift in a very short space of time. Can understand using the Sauna for the last few stubborn lbs. But not drinking, sauna and sweat suit for a 3-4 days? Really? :think

Re the Caffine, the doseage you have to take for it to act as a diuretic is quite high and your Kidneys adapt pretty quickly. This is all from memory from a lecturer last year

20lbs is a lot, but guys from the gym I know can cut 7kg in 24 hours, that's about 15lbs. With the things I said, waterload, salt bath (horrible apparently), sauna and very little liquid. Horrible, a swedish guy at a show in Scotland recently a 6'2" FW cut 15kg aparently. 12 hours in the sauna I heard (30 in 30 out).

Have you see Vitor biting the ice?

Nope. But that is VERY dangerous. I suffered once from severe dehydration and had to be put on IV. Was not fun in the slightest. It's also very bad internally especially on your kidneys. My **** was dam near brown. Why would you want to put your body through that for a few days just to make weight?!?!

They do crazy ****. Bisping does water loading where he has something crazy like 16 lites of water so that he can flush out the crap in his intestine which can amount to 5 pounds. Then they eat ice chips. They they do the crazy hot bath with salt and then sauna with shadow boxing.

Arguably the toughest form of athletic competition in the world and 24-36 hours earlier you have spent the last couple of days drying out 10-25 pounds. On top of that they have to rehydrate that weight in mega quick time.

It is crazy. They want fighters to not take steroids to protect themselves and each other but then cutting weight is openly accepted.

Magaret Goodman is a boxing doctor and she says the last place for water to leave is the brain but when you have dried out that weight and you can go on to lose 15 pounds during a fight then your brain isn't sitting in its fluid but crashing against your skull.

There are some strong links between injuries/deaths in boxing and fighters not making weight. Buncey said it once that in the UK the last 11 fighters to be injured or die, 8 of them had a history of trouble making weight. I think I read it in WAR because he may have been speaking about McClellan for the Benn fight.

Interesting. The reason why i'm asking is iv had to make weight several times. And i wouldn't dream of loosing that kind of volume so quickly. The most iv ever done is 10lbs in one week and i had terrible cramps because of it. Unless you're on a boat load of Clen or Diuretics it's simply not sensible to be loosing such a huge amount of weight so quickly without serious consequences.

Is this a weight cutting term or actually biting ice cubes?
