As one top expert put it - you had one guy throwing a punch with his eyes shut, and the other guy taking it with his eyes shut.

Made for a great highlight tho.

i disagree with whoever said that.
sounds like sour grapes comment because the fight was a bit of a disappointment in that it was over before it got started

it was an excellent well-timed, perfectly placed counter punch from Nunn

He set it up really well but I don't like to see 1 punch decide a fight, I wonder if he was cold

I also notice Nunn gets NO credit for this win.. It's a very underrated win imo.

Nunn never gets any credit for taking out at the time someone in the top 15 pound for pound in ONE round.

What if Hagler/Leonard/Hearns/Duran stopped Kalambay in 1 round?

    Would they get any credit?:think;)

Check out the Kalambay - Kalule fight. He gets caught with several straight lefts. Maybe a "not meant to be a chinese racial slur" in his armor. He was cold, and Nunn is bigger and probably a little faster than Kalule.

The timing and accuracy of that shot was picturesquely perfect. Nunn was also coming forward when Kalambay met him for the shot.

Nunn not getting any credit for this win isn't strictly true.he got significant amounts at the time and rightly so.

the reason the credit has diminished over time is because of what Nunn did afterward, how he conducted his career and used his offensive talents. It's his own fault.

Maybe if he had used his great hand and foot speed to throw punches like that regularly, instead of clowning about and flurrying, he wouldn't have lost to Toney(imagine shots like this hammering into a cold early rounds Toney instead of the featherfisted Reggie Johnson shot that took him by surprise and hurt him) and would have gone down as an all-timer.
