It's possible, though with Hopkins I believe it smore his lifestyle choices and fight style that has allowed him his longevity.
He refused to agree to a simple urine test after the fight, and then lost his cool and pushed Pascal: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0V94s4-tOXA[/ame]
If you categorically dismiss the possibility of any professional athlete using PED's you're extremely niaeve. "Good Guys", "fan favorites", "hall of famers", and everywhere in between have been outted as users, the "I just don't want to believe it" mindset is childish. Also the "innocent until proven guilty" folks sound like marks too, they aren't being tried, we are discussing a very real phenomenon prevalent in athletics in general.
I doubt it. Hopkins to me comes across as something that takes very good care of his body and would never pollute his body with steroids/PEDs.
Compare him now with himself in the Pavlik fight also. Definitely losing some muscle mass. That said, it's a real possibility he takes a performance enhancing drug, or has in the past. I have the same feeling about every single professional athlete (top level or not).
I find it odd when any proffesional athlete is asked to do a test and doesnt feel comfy doing so. Surely you would want to show that you are clean and not a cheat, but I guess each to their own and innocent until proven
