    Floyd Mayweather.

I believe I have already said more than enough as to why fighters shouldnt be given more money.

  2. $700 million, yet the fighters wont see any of these money.

  3. Because the UFC does all these.

Borne out of mafia money, WWE model and main fighter (until recently), fixed fights, racism with USA USA USA among other things, drug busts everywhere, mismatches and freakshows like Overeem v Lesnar.

  4. The guy is a homo. Hes like the guy in the background trying to fit in and trying to be noticed.

Dana has a big DICK (his bald ****en head) but a small willy.

Dana doesnt kick his dog but does like kicking his mom around.

Fighters shuld ONLY get more money IF the UFC run MMA in a similar fashion to FIFA, UEFA or FA. Only that way if a fighter is to be a ***** about his worth (as 99% are) then the UFC have the power to put them in touch.

Footballers get paid a **** load but imagine if they all decided to pick and choose which games they play, how long they take off.

The UFC pay enough to keep the fighters coming back but also despite no official rankings there is a CLEAR competative architecture as to how to move up towards a title shot.

Fighters are not free agents. They're employees of the UFC. In addition the UFC is a franchise. The UFC would never adopt that concept and doesn't need to. In addition it would not be profitable for them. The comparisons with leagues are pointless.

Exactly so we should stop expecting fighters to get paid like other sports. The UFC need to monopolise the fact that they need to make fighters fight and paying a fighter 15 million GURAN-DAMN-TEES they aren't fighting again that year. Hence the reason boxing has become a joke.

What we as fans expect fighters to get paid is largely academic. But the reality is the fighters will go where the money is. And right now they're only option is the UFC. Ethically that's unfair as fighters should obviously have more options that will allow them to maximise their income without the fear of reprisals from a rival promotion that protects it's market too aggressively. That said if another promotion could offer twice the money the UFC was offering the fighters would obviously go there.
That was the main reason for the exodus of fighters from the UFC when PRIDE started up.

I don't think it is to do with the fighters. 50% of it is probably about the fighters but the other 50% is about whether or not the UFC is being fair or not.

There is no reason MMA can't go to other orgs or even self promote. Fedor is pretty much doing it. None of them have the name or have invested in their own development or will cover their own cost if they get injured.

Fact is, the UFC remains the only viable business model though I do think Strikeforce was a good business model and a SERIOUS threat to the UFC. The real fans knew what time it was when it came to fighters like Overeem, Diaz and Melendez even though they weren't in the UFC!

Not that simple is it. If it was Fedor would be the norm not the exception.

The solution is simple. Fighters to get together and form a union. That however requires self-sacrifice and leadership from the richest fighters at the top of the promotion. I just don't think that's going to happen as long as Zuffa have their finger half-way on the pulse of the mood amongst the elite.
