I doubt it mate. When he was sparing Tony Bellew he didn't look that much smaller and Bellews pretty big at 175.

Or were never interested in the loser of a tournament fighting Bute.

Pavlik would be a great fight to make, especially considering his recent troubles, would be an opponent Froch could be made to look good against. Would he fight at 168 though?

Otherwise, Pascal or Kessler rematches would also be sell-able.

No chance he fights Cleverly, considering his allegedly connection, and as someone else said, who would broadcast it, BN or Sky Sports? Wont happen until Clev leaves FW.

Eddie Hearn recently said Froch would look to move down to 160 before moving up to 175.

And Sergio would still make Frochy look slow as molasses.

Eddie best be careful.Every one of his "top" fighters have been beaten solidly in their world title efforts. He would be better learning more from his Dad before busting up his stable of boxers.

I don't see where Eddie has done anything wrong. Froch was already in the super six. And the rest of the fighters weren't exactly picked to do anything in their match-ups. What's wrong with him getting the likes of Barker a title shot? who people would be trashing if he was still knocking about at the level he was at without stepping up and giving it go.

What exactly do we want as fans? Sometimes the promoters can't win.

If you don't take the world title shot at Barkers age then theres something really amiss.

    I agree with this.

If anything, Barker improved his standing in the Martinez fight, giving Sergio a closer fight for the first 8 rounds than anyone since Williams I

At the very least Vano, he's no worse off after having had a chance at a world title.

How he matches Brook will be interesting.

Didn't Barker get £260,000 or something? That's great promoting in my eyes.

Exactly. Fans will complain about poor matches and the same fans will then complain because their fighter lost their 0 going up against a live opponent. Fighters will lose if they fight the best, and they should fight the best.

As for Froch, rematch against Andre Dirrell is what I want.

I liked Bute vs Froch even more than Bute vs Ward. At least for right now. Froch has been eating **** about Bute for 5 years and now he had to "walk the walk" against the men. So I hope there's still a chance of that fight. Go to HBO and do it if Showtime doesn't want it.
