This is a joke post, right? :blood

If not, Chang was no caveman, far from it, one of the best blends of offence and defence I have ever seen, and has the one thing Lopez sorely lacks; an inside game, a crafty, tiring one at that.

Skill+Opposition=Chang is the far better, and greater fighter. Lopez has a punchers chance, even then Chang had a good beard in his prime, hence why he came off better with humongous punchers like Ursua and Torres.

it was actually a joke post :tong

but seriously i think lopez has a very fair shot of this one. the more i watched chang (on your recommendation actually) the more frightening an opponent for lopez he appears. still, if lopez can dictate not just the pace but the distance of the fight I think he could take it. like you said, chang's inside game is better but part of the reason lopez isn't known for his inside game is he never had to utilize one. he was a consumate ring general and controlled most every fight he was in, ensuring the texture of the fight looked exactly how he wanted it to...except when he fought alvarez

against chang, he certainly would not be able to control the fight easily and likely chang would make him uncomfortable with his strength and pacing both in close and at a distance. lopez would have to develop an inside uppercut and improve his (at times) robotic movement to cope. i think the fight would establish if lopez is as great as i feel he is or more a product of his competition and times, lacking a world class opponent (save for gonzalez or carbajal who he probably should have fought)

who do you rank higher all time?

Chang makes my top 100 P4P. Should've been two-weight lineal champ' IMO (robbed against Sot 2nd time IMHO) and even with the knowledge of Lopez's opposition I have, I don't rate Lopez's run at all.

Brilliant, beautiful textbook puncher, I love to watch him. A 'great straw' does not make a great fighter IMO :good

Lopez vs Chang is one of the great hypothetical modern Flyweight matchups.

Probably 50\50 on it being a great fight to watch though.

Lopez vs Arbachakov would be a good choice there.

I really can't see the appeal of Morales-Pacqiuao in their 122lb incarnations. Pacqiuao wouldn't beat that Morales, and in a fight where both were in good nick Morales won.

The rest, very nice. Orlando would kick Rafa's ass :yep
