Remember both of his last 2 fights were BS stoppages, Firtha was starting to fancy the job and Pajkic had a couple of bogus knockdowns against him and then got stopped when Fury hadn't even landed a punch!!!

He fought going backwards against Del Boy. Sure, he's got hit, but less stiff than Price.

And Pikey and Firtha are just half decent journeyman types. Still way better than anyone Price has fought.

How many stoppages aren't BS nowadays? That's more a criticism of boxing than Tyson Fury. Price wasn't even coming to close to stopping some of the absolute no-hooded he took on in the fights following his debut. He's looked better in the last couple but the fact McDermott is his first big test is saying something. Fury ran that gauntlet a few years back now (unless it was a year ago and i've lost the plot :D)

Price just doesn't look all that against worse opposition than Fury. Not the kinda' stuff to gain the praise he has IMO. Most consider Fury a limited, if gutsy arm puncher, Price is a robot with a right hand against the worst journeyman in Heavyweight history.

I'm not sold on him yet, but he could come good yet, and not picking him to beat Fury on what I've seen of him so far.

Why is Fury's balls questioned here instead of Price?

Let's compare the fighters. They both turned pro within a few months of each other. Fury is five years younger than Price and has had 6 more fights. Fury fought John McDermott in his eight fight at 21 years of age. He has taken four boxer's undefeated records, one of whom just convincingly beat the European champion.

And David Price has fought Tom Dallas. Who the **** is David Price? **** off with this bollocks.

How has Price looked dreadful as a pro? He has fought limited opposition yes, but he has looked good in beating those opponents. Although he may be found out when he gets to a higher level you can't say he has looked dreadful so far!

    In what sense....

I think Price is a good fighter and go for a world title shot one day.

I don't see the fight happening, but not because Fury will "duck" Price. I just don't imagine Big Mick will let the fight happen if Maloney wins the purse bid and wants it on Sky.

Most cases where fighters are supposedly ducking another usually come to down to the promoter/promoters more than the fighter anyway. (Most, not all.)

  14. Exactly.

Price is the one that's fought nobody (not his fault admittedly) yet Fury is the one copping the stick.

I wouldn't say he's looked dreadful, but some of the fighters that he's taken a bit of time knocking over ought to have been gone in the first round. Realistically he should be 11-0 (11), rounds boxed 15 max.

Maloney should have had him out much more regularly, Fury has had six more fights despite a couple of long ass layoffs.

Exactly, if he'd done that in 18 months nobody would complain.

I agree with this, it's not happening next I'm certain.

Maloney won't want to risk Price yet and Hennessy will want Fury in some shootouts on Channel 5 for a good year.

Why not too, he's the younger man ahead of the older one, with lots of time for marking time and learning his trade.

He takes time picking his shots though hes not one that necessarily goes looking for the KO. To be fair aswell if the two fights that went to points had of been 10 rounders he would have 100% KO'd the guys. Taking his last three performances you can't fault them!

However i agree Maloney needs to have him out much more regularly than he is doing at the moment.
