I would argue he was never the same after his two wars with Tyson
That was a prolonged beating which is much worse that a ko in the early rounds imo
It held up during the early rounds of the G.Johnson fight. He got stunned in round 5 and quickly recovered.

Are you saying you could take either of those shots? Johnson KO'd Green with the exact same shot.

Roids Jones Jr cheeen being cracked was only a matter of time.

When he actually steped up and fought a boxer not a street cleaner.

Which of the names in bold that you used in your example seems oddly out of place?

Roy Jones was hard to hit in his prime, but he was never unhittable and he took some big shots even in his prime. Remember that huge right hand he took from Toney? Roy just shrugged it off. His punch resistance has clearly diminished after he went to from HW to LHW again.

The Devalle one was a Flash KD he wasn't really hurt and Tarver Koed him once in 3 fights ..I'd say it was a little better than average ..I mean Tarver was bigger than Roy physically ..And the Johnson fight I mean what did Jones do for nine 9rds ? Just cover up ..It took 9rds and a punch to the back of the head ..His chin gets tarnished but Jones didn't start getting tagged until he slowed down ..Basically happens to al fighters ..

Guess you never saw how he took a flush shot from HW John Ruiz, and shrugged it off? :huh

I think the first Tarver fight did Jones in, he took so many flush shots in that fight from a big puncher, bigger punches than the ones that ko'd him in the rematch.

If Jones chin was always so bad how did he last a career doing everything he did? How did he take bombs against Tarver, Ruiz and the man Toney heralded as the biggest puncher he fought in his career, Sosa?????

Muscle loss can do that to a boxer, especially to a boxer that most likely never had a brilliant chin to begin with.

Glass chin is the only explanation, PP.

Regarding Jones being 35 years old shot fighter means nothing;)

Hatton's Chin was decent but got dented by Collazo and then cracked by Money May. After that he got wobbled bad by no hoper Lozcano, fought face massager Paulie and then got annihilated by wee Pacman.

Definitely got cracked and cracked bad. Every punch Pac landed was putting him on ***** street.

John Ruiz is the biggest joke to ever disgrace the HW division. He was feather fisted and more of a wrestler than a fighter which is exactly why Glass Jaw Jones handpicked him for his HW "championship".
