Floyd Mayweather HAS his guaranteed Purse, Whats the excuse now Bob?

I doubt very much he can change the date, I doubt the american justice system would like to be viewed in that way, especially as they have already made an exception for him.

Arum has gone on record to say if they were fight JMM they WOULD fight on May 5th so why not fight Mayweather on May 5th.

from a fans perspective the sooner the better!

 

exactly what i been sayin. people think floyd can just change his date with no problem. u cant just play with the law like that. if he fights later than may 5th he will have to ask for an EXTRA month to heal and they already postponed his sentence. he cant be asking for anymore favors

I think the judge would be very upset if he decided without their permission to change the date and even if he asked for their permission they may deny him.

But in any case I cant see ANY reason and I mean ANY why Manny cannot fight on May 5th

When Bob thought Floyd was going to prison he was gooing to attempt to make Manny vs JMM on May 5th.

 

heres my opinion, May 5th is the biggest date in boxing. Arum is butthurt cuz floyd snagged it first and he wouldnt dare to try to compete with him on the same date. Floyd wants pacquiao to fight him on that date but arum is desperately trying to move it by making these excuses. but the thing is, if team pacquiao ducks floyd, Floyd still has that date locked in, so he can easily fight someone else as a back up opponent. arum wants an in-house top rank fight with his mexican fighters on that date but floyd is ahead of the game and arum cant stand it.

The date, purse and venue aren't the real underlying issues..... It has everything to do with Floyd taking the stance that he is calling all the shots and making all the decisions. If Pac doesnt have a voice in the negotiation process we won't be seeing Manny be Floyd anytime soon.... Just like when Bob tried forcing Floyd to accept his ultimatum and set a time limit... **** didn't work then and it won't work this go round. To get this fight made the two people at the center of this mega fight will have to sit down and negotiate the right way.

 

You are probably right, but all the back up fights suck.

Cotto - best of a bad bunch at least he has been operating at Elite level.

Bradley - Good little fighter, but he is unproven at Elite level

JMM - Will never get a fair shake against Pacquiao and no chance of winning vs Floyd.

Khan - Just got exposed imo and has a hell of a task in beating Peterson

Peterson - Still growing as a fighter

Canelo - a big guy but somewhat unproven
