Mayweather just laid a Josie-Harris two-piece on Arum and company. It's pretty obvious from the sounds of things that Arum and Pacquiao have not chosen Floyd, nor do they have any intention of doing so. God DAMN I hope there is some serious fallout from this.

Huh the lower the weight, the worse it is for Pacquiao ... Mayweather was knocking guys out at the lower weights. He has a better chance now that Mayweather is older but the skills will always be in favor of Mayweather and SKILLZ PAY THE BILLZ !!

All I'm saying is at featherweight, Bantamweight, and Flyweight ... Pac reigned supreme ... even though his two KO losses came at Flyweight he still won a strap at the age of 19 and held straps in those lower weight classes.

Why don't people realize this? If you think FMJ is impressive now? Good Lawd you should have seen him at lower weights!

Pac, though great, just is not on the same level.

All fighters have questionable wins, no one is flawless, that's just a fact.

I do say, as a fan of both, that Pacquiao is by far greater than Mayweather in terms of achievements. If the catchweight at 145 against Cotto makes the win questionable to you then he also fought Clottey, who arguably BEAT Cotto in many people's eyes, one fight later and a catchweight wasn't requested. Still if that's not good enough it sure as hell is better than Mayweather's 140lbs resume which was a win over Gatti for the WBC title, a paper title to be exact. In terms of greatness Pacquiao clearly and officially has achieved more, if you want to question his victories go ahead, but Mayweather's victories are easily questionable too.

I know that Mayweather had serious power at that weight, so did Pacquiao. To trouble someone in Mayweather's style, which is a style impossible to figure out, a fighter needs to overpower him, use ugly tactics, smother him and keep throwing nonstop. Pacquiao had those tools and his speed to boot. That's why I considered it 50/50 but definitely favoring Mayweather more.

    It's over now.

Floyd's tweets are the alligator's "death roll."

I hope he pays Alvarez, and May 5, 2012 works out ok.

Exactly Scar you must have forgot how "Pretty Boy" used to let his hands go....punches in bunches son!

When he moved up he started pot shotting and his work rate went down but at the lower weights I think it is murder personally.

At 147 I still think he beats him convincingly, he has too much skill and even if he gets hit with a big shot, he is more equiped than anyone to tie Manny up as he showed in the Mosely fight.

Manny cannot outbox him for me its just a matter of whether he can knock him out imo!

Fighting other fights at a 147lb limit hurts him in my view. He's happy to fight Clottey and Mosley at the full weight limit, but Cotto must come down to 145?

It's the same as his asking Mosley to come down to 143lbs after Shane beat Margarito, yet two/three years later he's happy to fight SSM at 147lbs.

Still though, Cotto admitted that 145 was good for him, any lower he would find other options(and he had a lot to look into). Though does that mean that going down to 145 meant nothing?, of course it did mean something otherwise it wouldn't have been requested so I can't argue with that any further.

About Mosley, they never planned to take that fight anyway even though Mosley agreed to go down in weight for it. They took on Cotto instead which was a safer bet for Arum considering Cotto is in his stable and left Mosley for Mayweather to deal with. Asking Mosley for a catchweight after a loss to Mayweather and a draw against Mora would have obviously been ridiculous.

You forget Cotto was his first fight coming up from 140 against Hatton? He was testing the waters. And people grow into the weight..obviously what he's done in recent years.

Also, the reach factor is huge in favor of Floyd. Pac was "coming up short" tryin' to get to Juan. Floyd's arms are long.

Manny can't and won't outbox him, that's for sure. All he could try to do is overpower him and hope his activity and excessive punches break Mayweather down or slow him down, still hard to imagine too considering Mayweather's insane leg movement, speed and activity at the lower weights.

At 147 BOTH fighters slowed down but Mayweather still has the defense and speed. Pacquiao has speed and power but isn't as unpredictable as Mayweather.

The Oscar De La Hoya fight was at the full 147lb weight limit.

That's Roach's work there. "we'll take a lil' something off him".
