He's focused ... He relocated his camp to Mayweather's gym and the Froch fight showed him what he needed to be on championship level. He learned from that Froch loss.
I hope so. I really like him as a fighter. I feel that he brings a level of athleticism that is not matched. I hope he develops a bit more inside game because I feel that being on his wheels against high level opponents can be a negative. Even in the AA fight he was gassing, which compounded to cause the slip. To this day I feel the Super Six was a set up for AD and AW to fail as they were greener fighters.
It might have been the view of Saureland but not the view of Showtime. S6 was put to bring Ward to the level of a star...witch he achived, but still is not a draw even as the Champ. But I hope to see Ward and Dirrell fight Bute as soon as possible, best would be Bute Dirrell and then Bute Ward, if Bute beat Dirrell. Hope so!
I see your point and feel the same about the fights. Only difference is me rooting for Dirrell. I am really disappointed that Bute/Froch wasn't made. It would have been a great chance for Bute to step up a level in class. Oh well. Bute vs just about anybody these days is going to be a money fight. I just want Bute to have one high level fight BEFORE Ward. :thumbsup
I have no problems with that, but If Ward wants it, I would like the 3 belts unification fight asap. If it's the reason why we will have to wait for Froch Bute, then I can live with that. But please, not a sleeper with B-Hop, next year maybe!
Im gonna have to disagree and I am a fan of Neither! Bute does indeed display "skills". Good Fighter. BUT. Froch is a brawler with Heart and a chin and Pretty good power. Froch stops Bute TKO9
I have to disagree by a mile. I see Froch as a little better version of Andrade, big heart, applies pressure, not that fast, easy to hit. I think Bute would be way too much for Froch, but hey, that is what makes boxing worth watching, isn't it??
Rewatch Kessler-Froch. Kessler had Froch backing up the whole fight and he couldn't pull the trigger half the time. Bute has the offense he would control Froch the whole fight. As for Dirrell, he shows too many signs of being mentally weak. I'm afraid if he fought Bute, he'd run the whole fight. That's still the fight I want right now.
