"Si Manny sumusunod lang kung sino ang ilalaban sa kanya, at tungkol sa financial, hinde siya masyado nakekealam diyan. So may pera, or magkano man ang pera kay Mayweather, okay lang kay Manny. Ang gusto niya basta malabanan si Mayweather," Singson told our colleague Snow Badua of DZSR Sport Radio 918 in an exclusive radio interview he shared with me (click here for video/audio of this interview).

Translation: "Manny just adheres to who they put in front of him for him to fight. And regarding the financial side, he doesn't meddle with that too much either. If there's money, or how much money there is for Mayweather, doesn't matter much to Manny. All he wants is to fight Mayweather."

Asked how close and realistic talks are about Pacquiao vs. Mayweather happening, Singson reiterated that Mayweather has yet to sign a contract, and has historically repeatedly called out Pacquiao only to take his statements back, or make negotiations for a fight impossible. He also stated that if Mayweather doesn't ink a fight contract to fight Pacquiao, that Miguel Cotto is the chosen opponent for Pacquiao by his promoters.

"Pero gaya ng sabi nila, hinde pa pumipirma si Mayweather, maaring bawiin pa yan, pero kung pipirma, maganda, kung hinde, most probably ang kalaban na niya si Cotto.
"Yung mga promoters ang namili kay Cotto,
"Hinde namimili si Manny. Kung ano lang gusto nila ilaban, okay lang sa kanya [...] Pero ang priority ni Manny, si Mayweather."

Translation: "Like they said, Mayweather hasn't signed yet. He can take back what he said again, but if he signs a contract, then great. But if he doesn't, he (Pacquiao) will probably fight Cotto.
    "The promoters selected Cotto,
"Manny doesn't choose. Whoever they put in front of him, he's okay with it. But Manny's priority is to fight Mayweather."

With all the talks coming from the Mayweather side blaming Arum, Singson addressed questions regarding the Top Rank promoter's legitimacy in conductiong negotiations for this superfight.

Translation: "Nobody knows, but a lot are negotiating, many want to help, but the most important thng is for Mayweather to sign (a contract), because he takes back what he says, and we can never be sure when it's all talk.

"If Mayweather agrees, we can immediately sit down and sign papers,
"We're ready [...] Bob Arum has the contracts,
"Bob Arum is ready, although nobody can really be sure, and there are a lot of people negotiating. Mayweather changes his statements all the time. For example, right now he says, he wants to fight, let's go, it's happened many times before. In the beginning he was asking for way too much; asked Manny to give his blood, but when Manny agreed, he said 'no, you have to give your blood this way,' he has impossible demands.

"Bob Arum is willing to make the fight happen, but doesn't believe in what Mayweather says anymore because he changes his mind all the time.
"When he (Pacquiao) starts straining around February or March, then we'll know who he is going to really fight next."

Pacquiao's wife said that Pacquiao choosed his next opponent himself (Cotto) and Freddie Roach said that Pacquiao calls the shots too.

So his advisor is contradicting Arum who claims Manny picks who he fights.

Which is it *******? Is Manny's buddy the lying scumbag or is Arum?

Okay. Whatever. Based on reports from the mouths of Arum, Freddie, Koncz and Pac himself, I doubt any "supposed" (keyword) contract would have the following stipulations:

    - Weight limit 147 pounds,
    - 50% to each party of PPV revenues,
    - Both parties to provide their own guarantees in respect of any other monies (whatever this means),
    - Co-promotion between GBP and Top Rank,
    - Fight to take place on May 5 at the MGM Grand,
    - Random blood and urine testing up to the day of the fight to be conducted by USADA (and WADA for when Pac is training in the Philipines, if needed),

and have signatures for Floyd, Oscar (on behalf of GBP), Pac and Arum (on behalf of Top Rank).

The venue, date and drug testing appear to still be issues, and will continue to cause problems even if some form of agreement is met.

Bob should just return Schaefer's calls, now that he knows he represents Floyd. 0.001% chance of that happening.

Why hasn't he passed them onto either Haymon, Schaefer or Floyd? Or anyone from Team Mayweather for that matter?

Simple answer, but I suppose a :think is in order for some.

    Why May 19?

What's the matter with May 5 at MGM? It's booked, the biggest money maker for the year of boxing, and a date that Pac has fought on (at MGM as well) in 2 of the last 3 (ETA) Cinco De Mayo weekends.

So why May 19? There's no cut that needs to heal, there's no need for an outdoor stadium... I'm just curious because there seems to be not ONE logical explanation.

Other than, of course, that they don't want the fight. Which appears the most probable answer to this whole situation.

Of course they had the authority, further confirmed by Floyd who said BOTH Schaefer and Haymon are his go to guys.

Bull**** excuse from a bull**** man who as a promoter is hurting his own legacy, and the legacy of a truly great fighter (who both will still be remembered as great, no doubt, but will have an asterisk due to the blatant crap that's been going on).

But with that said - now that Floyd has given Schaefer authority, why not call him back?!? They say Floyd is priority number 1. PROVE IT! Return Schaefer's callS. (Emphasis on the plural).

This is potentially the biggest money fight in history, and the fight against the top 2 pound for pounders of the past decade, so up there with one of the most anticipated fights of all time too.

    And he's ruining it.

fibrin tissue that granulated between manny's cut does not have the tensile strength of may 5 compared to may 19.

    Okay. Whatever.

So he was willing to fight a fourth fight against Marquez on May 5 with this "supposed" (keyword) deficiency. :think

    I smell bull****.

floyd does not have a signed contract with gbp, floyd could just deny or disregard whatever gbp agreed into for him.

If you posted this article to prove that Pacquiao wants Mayweather you failed, because those words dont come from Pacquiao himself.
