De La Hoya tells Arum : Call Schaefer to put the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight together

    De La Hoya tells Arum: Call Schaefer to put the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight together

    By Chris Williams: First it was Floyd Mayweather Jr. advising Top Rank CEO Bob Arum who to contact Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions to start negotiations between Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather, and now it’s Oscar De La Hoya joining in on the team effort to try and get through to Arum to make him understand that he needs to contact Schaefer.
    It’s sad that Arum would need to be told this, but he recently said he couldn’t put the fight together between Pacquiao and Mayweather because he didn’t know who Mayweather’s representative is. Arum wanted to hear from Mayweather directly before he’d start negotiations with his appointed rep. If Arum’s still not interested in making the fight, he can always cast doubt on the authenticity of Mayweather’s twitter account by saying he isn’t sure if it’s the real Mayweather or not.
    Speaking on his twitter, De La Hoya said “Let’s do this. Way to step up to the plate Floyd Mayweather. Let’s do it. Bob [Arum], now call Richard Schaefer. His Phone is on. You see Pac works for Bob Arum and Golden Boy works for the fighters. That’s the difference. Bob, call GBP.”
    Someone then asked De La Hoya why he himself doesn’t call Arum, and De La Hoya said “No one answers.”

    And now Arum will claim he doesn't need to call anyone for anything, they should call him if they want it. This is never happening, might as well move on now than get annoyed later.

    I guess this makes it 2-1 for Team Money Vs Team Pac in ridiculously painful fight negotiations.

    Lol apparently Arum is still thinking about building a stadium FOR THE END OF MAY and he will talk to builders :

    "I've always said that we could get an outdoor stadium up by the end of May," said Arum, noting that Mayweather is slated to begin a 90-day jail sentence staring on June 1.


     "We're talking with the builders tomorrow [Wednesday.] Obviously, if this thing plays out any longer, then that won't be an option anymore."

    No more BS excuses Arum... the ball is in your court now.

    Let see if Pac duck Floyd again.

    Tod should put that old man to sleep , maybe use a horse tranquilizer, and put this fight together and by the time Arum wakes up he wont know what happened.

    Still makes me laugh how these Pac supports still manage to find excuses to how it is Mayweathers & Golden Boys fault.

    Arum is scared his cash cow will get destroyed and then won't be such a big draw.

    3 more average fights for pac will make Arum more money than 1 legendary fight against Mayweatyher.

    This is a sport though Arum and you need to give the public what they want to see!
