Physique wise I meant compare how they look and they shouldn't be in same weight category

They're both very talented, with Brook clearly more experienced in the pro game and physically far more developed. But obviously Gavin has the accomplished amateur pedigree.

With Gavin, I think he'd be more suited to 140 right now as I worry that he may struggle with the physical aspect of it at 147 and find it difficult to keep off stronger pressure fighters. For all his skill, it'd be little use if guys can easily walk him down. It'd make sense for him to move to 147 a bit later in his career once he's more experienced and naturally filled out a bit. It's highly doubtful that he'll ever fight at 154, so if he sticks to WW now there'd really be nowhere else for him to go apart from down, which is never ideal.

What's more, it seems to me that Gavin would be better matched (hopefully at some stage, given the right dedication) with fighters like Burns, Mitchell, Murray and McCloskey rather than the likes of Brook and Vassell. He's the same height as Burns, for instance, who will probably move to 140 at some stage. At 147, someone tough but rough around the edges like Denton Vassell would probably bully him, whereas a smaller pressure fighter (eg Murray/Katsidis) would struggle to do so at the weight below.

But anyway, it's good to hear things are looking up for Frankie. I wonder if the Witter fight is still a possibility for later in the year?

Frankie just seems too mentally fragile to me to make it to the top. Problems problems problems etc. Hope you prove me wrong Frankie.

Seems brutal but time will tell I suppose; I'd love it if he came on here told everyone to **** themselves and said "I'll show you..."

Thing is though he's unbeaten and only really lost a couple of rounds so its really just a question of moving on now. Good luck though!

Good for you Frankie, I'm glad things are on the up. Anyone with kids will know the anguish you would have gone through add to that what you must of felt re. your mum, difference is we dont have to put our health on the line when our heads aren't right.

I don't think at this point in your carear with your talent there is any value in you moving away from loved ones as long as your focused.

    Good luck

frankie defo more talented then brook
love how everyone is back on the brook hype train after couple of half decent wins
he makes basic mistakes that will be found out at the highest level.brook has good power which flatters him ...hell have his hands full like when he fought jennings and struggled with him

Gavin and Brook (Skillset and Talent wise) are not even comparable. Obviously Brook has progressed further thus far but to say he's more naturally talented than Frankie is borderline stupidity

I hope some of the dickheads who had a go at Frankie last year are reading this and feeling as stupid as they actually are.

Frankie, anybody with at least half a brain is behind you buddy.

    Let's hope for a great 2012 :good
